dailymail the 'it couple' back together??? the brit awards 2020 was bound to be a shocking event as 2019 was the year music took over everyone's lives, however lacy hope and sam fender announcing their return as lovers was not on our 2020 bingo card! the two performed will we talk together for the first time last night, dancing on stage to finishing the last note together, their performance was unforgettable. so no wonder they won song of the year, but everyone was shocked to find them on stage incredibly close like they never even broke up!
lacy then took the next two awards she was nominated for too: album of the year and artist of the year. although drunk, lacy shared how she felt with the whole o2 arena, her boyfriend and friend group joining her on stage.
it has been reported that after making comments about the two being back together in her speeches after winning the awards, her and fender were spotted walking into an after party not too far away from the arena, drunk and high on excitement they performed karaoke together singing 'your song' by elton john and finishing their drunken performance with a kiss.
but what brung the two back together? perhaps the death of lacy's mum done the trick. lacy lost her in late december to cancer, also around the time fender stopped posting and left the tour he had previously talked about unmentioned. so was the death of lacy's mum really a blessing in disguise as we now all get to witness our two favourite 'rock stars' be in love. let us know your thoughts below 👇
