CHAPTER 16

"You're giving me headache, Hera." mahina pero iritadong usal sa akin ni mama.

Drix rushed me to the hospital when I passed out after vomiting, which made Mama come after Drix called her.

Nice...kailangan ko lang pala mag kasakit para makita siya.

"Why did you eat that kind of stuff? Alam mong malaki ang chance na madumi yun! And you're sensitive when it comes to that kind of foods." nanenermon na sambit sa akin ni Mama, nakayuko lang ako pero pinipilit ko ang sarili ko na hindi ngumiti.

It was a surprise for me that Mom knew that I was sensitive to that kind of food, which means she learned a lot of things even though Kuya raised me.

Even though my stomach hurts, I can't hide the fact that Mama was here, worrying about me. Hindi siya nag kulong sa kwarto nya, omg she loves me.

"I'm sorry, na curious lang po kasi ako–" nakayuko parin na sabi ko.

"I don't like your type of curiosity, lalo na kung mapapahamak ka." Mama cut me off, made me but my lower lips.

Ako lang siguro yung pinapagalitan na pero masaya pa, ito na ata ang isa pinaka masayang araw ko. First, Waige acknowledged my help to him. Second, Ms. Faith told me she was proud of me, which melted my heart. And now, Mama was here to check on me and was worried about my condition. I feel so happy.

"You must stay here until tomorrow, under observation ka daw sabi ng Doctor. We need to follow his instructions." Mama added, I just nodded at her.

I saw Mama sitting on the sofa as she opened her laptop. I think she'll continue her work here. That was much better than leaving me alone.

Hindi ko napansin si Drix nang magising ako. Sa tingin ko may inasikaso na naman yun.

Medyo namimiss ko na nga rin si Cadis, ilang linggo ko na siyang hindi nakikita. Hindi rin siya nag nag exam sa school kanina, at nag aalala na rin ako sa kanya.

Kinuha ko ang remote sa gilid ng hospital bed ko at bubuksan na sana ang TV ng biglang mag salita si mama. "Quiet, Hera. Noise will distract me." She exclaimed.

Binaba ko na lang ang remote na hawak ko at napangiwi. I grabbed my phone beside me and scrolled on some social media sites when I received a message.

Go0d d4y!! nan4lo ka sa 4ming r4ffL3, txt bck 2 cl4im!

My eyes furrowed when I saw the text. Did I win something? I didn't join any raffle, though. Because of my curiosity about what I won, I texted back the number.

To: Unknown

Aw, really? What did I win?

I sent those texts excitedly, but I don't know how they managed to get my number. It was the safest SIM anyone could have; this is one of the prototypes of Cadis' invention. So, if I can receive a message here, it means it was filtered by his team.

Ilang minuto na ang lumipas pero hindi pa rin nagrereply ang number. Ibaba ko na sana ang phone ko para makapag pahinga ng bigla itong tumunog.

Napabalikwas naman ako sa pag tataka ng makita yun, boyfriend? won a boyfriend?

Po?

Wala pang ilang minuto ay nag reply na rin agad ang may ari ng numero.
