Harrow gently smiled as he saw me go back into his tight embrace and as his arms came around and held me close to his chest once more. His gaze stayed on me for a little bit, he liked how my head fit on his chest...
He then looked away again for a bit.
"Hey... I have another question if you don't mind...?" He spoke apologetically as he looked back at me, he felt that it was maybe a stupid question to ask, but he did it anyway.
I shook my head.
"Right..." He then paused a moment before speaking.
"Well, um... it's just this thing I was a bit curious about that I would like to know if you don't mind... It won't take too long," He then spoke, he was still apologetic as he was about to ask his question, he didn't want it to come off the wrong way.
"It's okay," I said softly.
"Okay then..." He then took a breath before speaking.
"Um, well... you know... earlier on... how you had suddenly gone in to kiss me back... it didn't bother you that I took the lead at that moment... did it?"
He was a bit scared of the answer he would get, he didn't want to think that he had ended up making me uncomfortable... but he wanted to ask me anyway, knowing that it would likely help him feel less worried afterwards at least.
I shook my head.
"So... you didn't mind then?" Harrow spoke this time in a soft voice, a tone that showed that he was relieved. He didn't want to think that he made me uncomfortable by taking the lead in that aspect.... his relief came across in his tone.
"No," I reassured him.
"Oh okay, um... that's... good..." He spoke in a soft tone once more, now a bit more relieved in his voice.
He then paused for a second before speaking again.
"So... that means that um... you're okay with me taking the lead in certain things like that... right?"
I nodded.
Harrow smiled softly as he saw me nod, he guessed that was his answer, so he didn't ask me to specify any further. He just was pleased by the fact that I seemed to be okay with him taking the lead at times like that, that made him feel a bit more comfortable after all.
"Okay... that's good," He spoke softly again, now seeming quite relaxed after asking me that one question.
A week later, I was having a serious meeting with him where we discussed about my improvement.
The two of us were back in his office, sitting in his two chairs... this time, the mood was more professional and serious... unlike last time when things had been more casual and playful.
"So... I've been keeping tabs on you..." Harrow then spoke softly as he leaned back in his chair and looked at me.
I nodded slowly.
"There has been some noticeable improvement, I can't deny that," Harrow then spoke again, leaning back in his chair and keeping his arms folded behind himself as he proceeded to look down at a few sheets of paperwork he had on his desk.
I nodded again.
"I guess you've been trying... which has been pretty obvious, I can see that you've been putting in some... genuine effort into things," Harrow then proceeded to pause for a moment to check over those sheets of paperwork... making sure everything was still correct.
"So what does this mean?" I asked quietly.
Harrow looked back up at me, his gaze staying on me as he spoke, he gave me a small smile as he did so.
"It means... you're doing good..." He decided to simply give me a simple answer, to begin with.
"Your improvement is clearly there... and I genuinely think that you're making the necessary progress... that's what it means,".
I nodded again "So what happens now?"
"For now... you just continue to keep putting in as much effort as you have been... and of course, we continue with our sessions... but you're doing great..." Harrow spoke softly again, he was genuinely happy and proud to see my improvement, as well as the fact that he was seeing the fruits of his labour with how successful this was proving to be... so far.
"So will I have a chance to leave this place soon?" I looked at him.
"I'd say that you have a good chance... we just need to wait a little bit longer so we can confirm that you're in a much better condition, mentally I mean. There are still a few things I need to work with you over, but if things keep going as well as they have been, it shouldn't be too much longer..." Harrow spoke softly, he seemed to be giving me some positive news at least with his answer.
I nodded, I felt relieved in a way.
Harrow then nodded himself as well. He was happy that I looked relieved by the news he had given me... it was certainly a good sign that I had been doing quite well with the progress that had been made.
He then looked down at that sheet of paper once more, and he then looked back up at me.
"Well, either way... I do have one last question for you then..."
I nodded.
Harrow gave me a soft smile once more before he spoke.
"So... how has that... 'feeling' been doing for you...?" Harrow then paused a moment as he spoke, he was of course referring to my feelings for him again...
"About us?" I glanced up at him and asked.
"Yes, that is what I am referring to... how are things... with that feeling that you have toward me... I guess that is what I would be trying to say..." Harrow then spoke, he figured being more direct this time would help him get his message across more easily.
I thought for a moment trying to understand his question and my feelings "I think I like you more but I feel like I will be more comfortable to try when I leave this place," I explained.
Harrow smiled when I spoke once more, he was glad to see that I did understand his question and he was glad to see that my feelings had only grown for him since before.
"I suppose that's understandable," He spoke softly once more, my response made a lot of sense to him, I wanted to wait it out just a little while longer before I finally acted upon how I felt towards him... he didn't blame me. He agreed even.
