We got to district 12 within an hour at least. I didn't realize how fast these hovercrafts could be. We started at the Justice Building just like in district 4. District 12 looked no better than 4. If anything, it looked worse. There are even more bones here and the buildings are unrecognizable.

"Katniss tell us what happened here." Cressida said, holding up her camera. Katniss stayed silent just looking at the Justice Building like I did. She had seen it already, so it wasn't a big shock to her, but I knew it still hurt.

"We we're all standing right here." Gale spoke up after a few seconds. In my head I wanted him to shut up but in the back of my mind I knew he was the only one who could really tell the story in full detail. Ever since I met him, I had a bad feeling about him. And after what he said about Peeta I just couldn't stand him.

"Watchin' the Games when you fired that arrow." He continued. "The screens went dark, and nobody had any idea what had happened. Peacekeepers forced us back into our homes. For maybe an hour, the town was just dead quiet. A little past 9:00, we heard their trucks pullin' out. All of them. Every single Peacekeeper."

Gale explained how he and a few others tried to get people to the forest. I heard Cressida instruct Pollux to stay with Gale as he guided us to where the non survivors had gone. When we got up the small hill I stumbled back at the sight. I thought it was bad where we just were, but this is awful. Thousands of bones everywhere. Skulls and ribcages were scattered everywhere.

"Nine hundred and fifteen outta ten thousand." Gale knelt as he said that. I couldn't help but feel bad as he went on about how he could have saved so many people. So many kids. Everyone tried reassuring him saying he saved so many and there wouldn't even be the memory of district 12 if he hadn't saved them.

We made our way to Victor's Village and stopped so Katniss could go into her old house and find some things to bring back. I decided to look around her house too just to see what it looked like. It wasn't much different from the homes in district 4 but there were some slight changes.

I walked down a hall and as I passed by the kitchen, I caught a glimpse of Katniss and Gale kissing. So much for being in love with Peeta. Though I guess now she doesn't have to act anymore.

We walked to a little lake not too far from the Village and we all sat down on the rocks. The camera crew sat around eating and probably looking at footage while the rest of us took in the sights around us. A Mockingjay flew in between Katniss and Pollux and Pollux pointed at Katniss' pin.

"Yeah, that's a Mockingjay." She said looking back at the bird. Pollux whistled a tune and before long all the Mockingjay's around us started singing. "Now they'll never shut up." Gale said. "Like you." I said back quickly looking away before we could make eye contact. Finnick found it funny and laughed a little, but Gale did not.

Pollux made a gesture with his hand. He was telling Katniss to sing. "You want me to sing?" she questioned. Pollux nodded his head in response. "I don't really sing in front of people other than my family. But Finnick tells me Kora has quite the voice." I stared at her blankly processing her words. When I snapped back to it, I turned to Finnick. "Really Finnick?" I said. He just shrugged his shoulders and looked back at the water.

"Katniss you sang in the arena. That was an audience, wasn't it?" I was trying to avoid having to sing to complete strangers. "Come on just try." I saw Pollux nod his head. I felt everyone looking at me. I'm going to kill Finnick.

I need to think. They'll probably record this and most likely add it in the propo. That means Snow may see it. I was taught to sing when I have something to say but what do I have to say? I don't have anything to say. So why not have some fun with Snow's mind? I take a deep breath finally thinking of something to sing.

Everyone's born as clean as a whistle
As fresh as a daisy
And not a bit crazy
Staying that way's a hard row for hoeing
As rough as a briar
Like walking through fire

This world, it's dark
This world, it's scary
I've taken some hits, so
No wonder I'm wary
It's why I
Need you
You're as pure as the driven snow

I pause for a brief second. Castor is recording me. All eyes are on me. Keep going. Show Snow who's in charge now. Make sure he remembers.

Everyone wants to be like a hero
The cake with the cream, or the doer not dreamer
Doing's hard work, but it takes some to change things
Like goat's milk to butter
Like ice blocks to water

This world goes blind
When children are dying
I turn into dust, but
You never stop trying
It's why I
Love you
You're as pure as the driven snow
