Wedding

"Ok I'm here. What's the problem?" Annie sat in her chair as I rushed into the room. Johanna had told me Annie needed me for something. "Oh, thank gosh. Have you seen Finnick anywhere? No one can find him, and I'm not allowed to look for him." she said quickly.

"Annie. Calm down. He's in his room. I guess no one checked in there. But he's in there. I just saw him." "Ok. Thank you, Kora." I smiled and nodded. "No problem. Now get ready. You only have an hour to finish up."

"Are you not staying?" She looked at me confused. "I have to go do something. But don't worry, Lilly and Prim are going to come in to help you. Trust them. They know what they're doing." She smiled and nodded. I gave her a tight hug before stepping out of the room and walking into the kitchen.

When I went in, I saw Cason attempting to mix cake batter while Peeta watched him making sure he didn't screw it up somehow. "You really trust him to help you?" I said walking up to them. Cason looked at me and rolled his eyes.

Peeta laughed at my comment. "He's actually not doing too bad." He said still watching Cason. "That's a first." I said. "Can you ever give me a break?" Cason looked at me again as he kept mixing the batter.

When he finished mixing Peeta took the bowl from him and put it in a cake pan. "Alright you should go help Finnick." I told Cason. He huffed and walked out of the kitchen. I watched as the door closed behind him and turned around to see Peeta already looking at me.

"How's it going?" I ask giving him a soft smile. "It's going well. Should be done soon." He smiled back at me as he spoke. "Sorry you can't actually come." I said. He shook his head and looked at the floor for a second before looking back up at me.

"It's ok. I probably wouldn't have anyone to talk to anyway. But at least I can help a little." I smiled wider and moved to help him finish up.

"You may kiss the bride." Everyone applauded as Finnick and Annie kissed. I sat in between Cason and Lilly as we all watched.

Music played while everyone stood in a circle with Finnick and Annie dancing in the middle. We clapped our hands to the beat, and I smiled widely watching them dance. They looked so happy. It was beautiful.

Finnick and Annie finished the dance and the music changed to a calmer song. Still upbeat but less loud. I watched with my arms crossed as Cason made conversation with Prim. Lilly was somewhere in the crowd of people, but I couldn't see her.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to see Annie. "Hey beautiful." I said. "Hi. I just wanted to say thank you for everything. And tell Peeta that Finnick and I say thank you as well." "It's no problem. And I will be sure to tell him that."

She smiled brightly and took my hand pulling me into the center of the room to dance with her and everyone else.
