Kora Banks won the hunger games not too long ago. It's supposed to be her first year mentoring. She doesn't want to. She prays every night in hopes that she won't have to mentor.
And her prayers are answered. Just not in the way she hoped. Back in...

I begged Coin to let us go to district 4 as well when we suggested filming what the capitol did. She agreed quickly, surprisingly. She wanted us to bring Lilly so she could give us more information, but I refused because I didn't want her to have to relive the whole thing. And I'm glad that I didn't let her come because looking at this makes me want to throw up.
The first thing I noticed was all the bones everywhere. I don't think I'll be able to sleep for a while after seeing it all. We started at the Justice Building. I couldn't focus on anyone or anything. While Cressida was trying to tell me what to say I just stood there looking at the damage.
They forced Finnick to leave his room for once and they made him come too. Of course, I argued against it since he still isn't over the fact that Annie could very well be dead. But if I don't bring Lilly, I have to bring Finnick. That is what Coin said.
So here he is trying to put on a brave face while I'm on the verge of tears. None of the camera crew can get us to say anything especially since we don't know much about what happened. So instead they just let us walk around the district for a few hours. Obviously they recorded us walking around and talking about different locations like the beach and the different buildings that are now hard to make out because of how crushed they are.
We got to Victor's Village and surprisingly none of the houses were too damaged. I went into my house and let out a sigh when I saw the mess. It wasn't from the bombing. I could tell. They clearly didn't care to take care of the house while I was gone. They probably thought it wouldn't matter since they weren't sure if I would come home.
Now that I think about it Cason probably thinks I'm dead. Unless he has seen the propos I have been in he probably thinks I died in the arena.
I distract myself by going to my room and grabbing a few things. A picture of Cason, Lilly, and I, my mom's old box of jewelry, and a few of Lilly's books. I stuffed it all in a duffle bag and grabbed a few more things. I walked out of the house after a few minutes and Cressida led us back to the Justice Building where the hovercraft came to take us to district 12.
A/N: Heyy! So this was just a short chapter to give you an idea of what district 4 looks like. Similar to district 12 but I just thought I should add it.
