Year 3828 — Cyber Ship Hala — Section Dyo
Astraea didn't sleep a wink last night. She was restless, thinking about the mission the entire night.
El didn't sleep either, though she pretended she was. She didn't say a word as she entered the dorm like a zombie. She was lost in her own little world and Astraea wasn't sure what would make her feel better.
The two now sat in their side by side seats that were on the main deck of the cyber ship. The deck was seperated by an aisle with three half-foot steps about five feet apart which made four levels.
On the bottom level was a large panel of buttons below the large space window. There was also a seat to the left of the ship where the lieutant sat.
On the second level was two curve computer desks that were separated by the aisle. Behind the desk on the right sat the twins. And behind the one on the left were Axel and Gauge.
On the third level, there was also curved desks but four of them. Synthia and Renan sat on the far right while El and Astraea sat closer to the aisle.
Over the three foot wide aisle, sat Ciaran and Gavrel. To the far left were Azzara and Izmeria.
The fourth level had the door leading into the rest of the ship as well as a large circular teleport ring.
The Beta Squad left at seven in the morning as promised. Planet Giatov took a few hours to get to and they were now on their last hour.
"Hey, I'm going to go get some water, do you want any?" Astraea asked as she stood from her seat.
"No." El replied without even looking at her. She had given her blade away in the morning, she would rather not lose her honor and not give what was promised.
El was lucky though, she had a mission the next day which would mean she would avoid all the backlash she would get from the other Strikers. At least that is what Astraea thought. El would only get complaints from her squad which didn't seem as bad.
The only bad part was that she had to be next to Izmeria for the mission.
"Okay." Astraea walked out of the deck and into a hallway through the metal sliding doors in the back. Along the back of the deck were thirteen pods specially designed to retrieve the weapons and gear.
Down the hall she took a right into a kitchen which was mostly just cabinets filled with snacks.
Astraea poured two glasses of water from the faucet before making her way back.
"I know you said you didn't want any but I got you a glass anyway." Astraea placed the glass in front El on her side of the table.
El looked up at the brunette and then at the glass before her.
She muttered a small 'thank you' and took that glass to her red stained lips.
Thankfully, the Medics were able to heal the stab wound El had on her thigh. Axel even gave her a healing stone to help with her almost none existent limp.
"Do you need anything else? I think there are some Stix Chips in the kitchen if you want any of those."Astraea offered, sitting back down in her seat.
"I'm fine. Thanks, Rae." El lowered her glass back onto the table.
"I'd like some Stix, Nelerix." Karlin turned in his seat to look up a the two.
"You can get your own." Astraea turned her nose at him.
"She doesn't want to baby us like Voiden." Kalin added with a shake of his head. "I can't believe you would treat us this way. Aren't we your favorites?" Kalin continued with a dramatic tone.
