Year 3828 — Cyber Ship Hala — Section Epta

Astraea was buckled into her seat next to El. Having such an important mission assigned to them, they were able to use a ship teleport to reach their destination faster.

Around thirty minutes later, they arrived at the laboratory station.

"It's quiet," Calyx said from the front as he looked out the window. The lab was a rectangular shape.

There was no sign of a ship or Auraforms from where they were positioned.

"They could be in incognito." Axel offered from his seat to the left of the bridge.

"It's a possibility. Do you see anything, Gauge?" Calyx asked the deep skinned man.

Gauge's eye glowed, searching for any sign of life. "There is a ship under the station. It's not one I've seen before."

Calyx made a perplexed look. "It could be thieves. Have the ship stay in incognito mode. We're all going inside to scout the station. We'll enter as a group before splitting between the north and south side of the station. Once you spot an enemy, report immediately." Calyx's eyes flickered to Astraea, who kept her head low. "If there are survivors, prioritize their safety."

"And if we call for back up, do we still fight?" Kalin was the one to ask.

"Yes, capture any opponents you encounter and keep your eyes opened." The Lieutenant warned. "Use your training to defend and attack in balance. One mistake and you'll be dead."

The group then gathered on the teleport soon after Calyx called out his orders. And in a blink of an eye they were in the station.

Everything was grey and white. Metal was also scattered in between. Lab benches and cabinets littered the room they were in.

"It looks haunted in here." Kalin muttered looking around.

"You'll be their next victim." El motioned to an animal in a jar.

Kalin squeaked at the sight of the dead creature which El snickered at.

"Don't joke like that in here." Karlin warily gazed around.

Astraea then spotted Calyx's signal to go through the door into another room. The group shuffled behind him into a large room. The sides had some counter tops as well as some boxes scattered around.

"Are those..." Ciaran gapped at what was before then. Astraea was as still as she could ever be.

"Auraforms." Astraea finished his sentence. There were hundreds of them in the room. Rows of tubes with the lizard creatures inside of them.

Calyx frowned at what he was witnessing. He had only seen an Auraform a few times. They were vicious creatures. "They're... being produced." He looked between the larger and smaller ones.

His words came as a shock to Astraea. They were not only being controlled but manufactured.

"This is insane," Izmeria remarked approaching one of the tubes. "Does COSMIC even know about this?"

"I don't think so, otherwise we would be targeting labs instead of trying to stop them at planets." Axel moved in to examine the liquid that the Auraforms were in.

"To think that we're one of the first people to know this." Gavrel gawked at the reptilian creatures.

"Hey look, Gauge. This one has even more muscle than you." Karlin laughed pointing at a beefy Auraform.

"I won't want to fight that one," Gauge replied seeing the lizard that put his muscles to shame.

"There is something different about them," Astraea added, stepping slowly around a tube. "They're grey in color instead of blue or green."
