Year 3828 — COSMIC Headquarters — Section Meden

The group dispersed from there, Renan heading back to his room to pack, leaving El with Astraea.

Synthia decided on staying at COSMIC in order to help them power the ship teleport.

"How do you know that Eclipse guy?" El asked as she threw some daggers into her bag.

"Which one?" Astraea asked, cramming her tablet inside.

"I guess both of them." She hinted her distaste.

"One of them is the guy that stole the case on Giatov. I met him again at Neon and things got complicated from there." Astraea maintained her vagueness.

"You hated him. What happened?" El stopped her movements to inspect the brunette.

"I came to tolerate him after finding out the truth," Astraea said simply. "I'm not defending what he does, but I've come to understand why he does them. Maybe you will too."

Astraea had to admit that she didn't see Zeph as the bad guy anymore. There were many worse things than the guy that helped hold her hair up when she was vomiting over the death of her Lieutenant.

"Not likely," she scowled.

El didn't understand the whole picture yet. It took Astraea some time to realize that things were as simple as they may look. El would just need a bit more time.

"Come on, we need to get going." Astraea hooked her arm through her backpack's strap as she headed towards the door.

El followed quietly behind her as they made their way to the ship dock. They would need to be quick in order to avoid suspicion.

Renan and Synthia were there, waiting close by Hala.

"Did you get everything?" Astraea asked as they hid underneath the ship.

"Yeah, let's go." Renan walked towards the hatch. "Synthia get ready to start the teleport. And leave as soon as you do it."

She nodded, starting to step in the direction of the teleport.

Just as Renan was about to open the hatch, footsteps were heard behind the three.

"I told you they would be here." Gavrel popped up under the ship. Alongside him was Ciaran and the twins. All of them with a backpack over their shoulders.

"Were you three planning to leave without us?" Karlin made a disappointed expression.

"You shouldn't be here," Astraea started.

"We're going with you." Gavrel spouted randomly. "If you're going to fight then we're going to help."

"No. This would get suspicious if you leave too." El denied their wants.

"They'll already be suspicious since all three of you are leaving," Ciaran peeped out.

"And besides, you need all the help you can get. Wherever you're going, we're coming." Karlin made a thumbing motion at his brother.

Renan glanced at the four men before back at Astraea. "Let them come. They've fought them before."

Astraea gazed up at him before sighing, "Fine."

Renan then opened the hatch, allowing everyone to come in with Astarea being the last.

As she was about to close the hatch another voice called out.

"You're not planning on leaving again, are you?" Izmeria appeared below the hatch. Her heterochromic eyes fixed on Astraea and El who stood next to her.
