Year 3828 — Cyber Ship Voragos — Section Dyo

After having that dispute with Zeph, Astraea decided to get her mind off of things by exploring the rest of the ship. According to the ship, they were taking a route through Section Dyo in order to avoid any chances with Section Meden.

Planet Avior was also pretty deep within Section Tria which was the reason for such a long trip. She had heard many stories that they were a people that dedicated themselves to the stars. They praised the warmth they gave them.

The planet was actually positioned between two stars that orbited around it. For this reason, it was usually day there.

Astraea made her way down the hall, passing her room. There were two more doors. Opening the one of the right, Astraea was in awe at the amount of weapons were scattered along the walls and more probably in the cases on the ground. Deeper in the room were some mats and gym equipment that was neatly hung on the stands against the walls.

Astraea now understood why he was so well built. Not spending more time in the room, she made her way out.

As she did, she noticed a sign at the end of the hall that said 'Escape Pods'.

If worst came to worst, she knew that these two things would be very useful for her. She then headed into the last room which was to the right of the hall.

As she walked in, she was faced with a wall covered in paper books. In the center of the room, sat a coffee table surrounded by two long dark grey couches.

Against the wall to the right of the door was a similar colored dresser. Above it was a whole board covered in sketches with small labels of different places. Curiously, Astraea opened the top drawer. Inside was an assortment of sketch pads and pencils.

Was Zeph an artist? She was amused at the thought. He drew every place he's been to.

She marveled at the skill which she would never admit. Looking further around the room, she realized that it was a recreation room. Books, board games under the coffee table, a dart board across the wall of the dresser.

It was things like these that marveled the girl. Who would have thought to create a field where everything stays in place on a fast ship like this one. As technology advanced, new inventions were being made and this was an example of one.

Without the field, all these books and tables would be sliding around. The only thing the field didn't work on was living beings which was why Astraea could more so freely through the ship.

Taking a book off the shelf, she examined its spine and title. She had only read paper books if she was desperate enough to read the ones in Lyris' office. They weren't as popular as digital books. Most people saw them as ancient artifacts.

It was only because she had nothing else to do until they reached Avior, did she decide to read a book. Sitting herself down on one the couches, she flipped through the novel.

It was peaceful which she really did enjoy. It took her mind off of everything that has happened lately.

She didn't know how much time had passed as she sat in the room. Minutes, hours.

She only returned to the present when she heard a noise near the door. Lifting her head, she brought her eyes up.

Zeph stood near the door once again, just watching her without a word.

"How long have you been there?" Astraea asked.

"Only a few seconds." He answered walking into the room. Astraea didn't believe him but didn't bother pushing another question.
