Year 3828 — Eclipse Headquarters — Section Tria

Astraea swiftly jumped off the back of the ship and onto the metallic extension of the asteroid.

She took in a deep breath at what she was about to do. El would have most likely the most proud or most critical of her. Renan would have called her insane.

She took a step towards the panel of hard glass where the Auraforms were trying to scratch. Then another step and another. Her walk was quick and held back power that she had built up over the years. Like a queen ready to take her throne.

Her palms sweatily gripped the handle of her right gun, brimming with energy.

The gate was a large arch panel of glass that opened up for large spacecrafts or cars. To the side was a smaller human side door. Even if it was made of hard glass, the scratches didn't appear. Some believed that this material was stronger than any metal.

Astraea knew that would probably not be the case. The Auraforms would find some way to get through glass or metal.

Her boots pounded on the ground, bringing the Auraforms' attention to her. The moment they spotted her, she stopped a reasonable fifty feet away.

Zeph was not too far behind her, trying not to attract as much attention. Three of the Auraforms began to hiss at her, slowly stalking for their prey.

Astraea frowned, seeing that she didn't get as much attention as she wanted. With the raising of her pistol, she fired a series of small bullets that hit the ones near the front.

The mix of blue and green let out some annoyed roars. They picked up their pace, moving away from the gate.

"If want you eat me, you have to come get me!" She yelled trying to entice them once more, firing more bullets and she turned to sprint away from them.

That did just the trick, the ten moved away from the gate and soared right for her. Seeing that they were gaining, Astaera skidded to a stop, her boots squeaking as she did.

Spinning around, she fueled her pistol and released a foot wide stream of energy right at the closest ones.

Three were hit, sliding down the smooth floor but they weren't fully dead. Another came at her with its talons raised ready to slash a wound. Astraea fired again causing it to release an agonizing roar.

From behind her, a blue one raised its mouth to snap at her. Astraea dodged it by slamming her left palm on it snout pouring energy into it. The blast obliterated its mouth and caused Astraea to be launched into the air as the energy pushed her up. Twisting her legs, she landed crouched on its back.

Lime-green blood covered her palm and was splattered onto her sleeve. One down, nine to go.

Just as she was balancing herself, sharp metal rods pierced through the skin of the Auraforms. They flew like javelins, one after the other, killing the lizards around her.

"You okay?" Zeph ran up to her, pulling her up from where a Auraform made her collapse.

"Yeah, I'm fine." She dusted herself off. "How was my distraction?"

"It was good, maybe I shouldn't have interrupted," Zeph said with a smirk.

"Are you serious? I just risked our lives out there." She slapped his shoulder before walking towards the side door. Zeph shuffled to catch up to her.

"I know. I'm just kidding." He chuckled lightly. "You gave me enough time to find some Plasmium metal rods so it turned out just fine."

More roars sounded behind them as they were about thirty feet from the door.
