Year 3828 — Neon Market — Section Unus
Astraea followed Zeph as he weaved through the other ships along the floating dock.
She still couldn't believe that this was happening. That she might as well have failed another mission because of Zeph. Astraea wondered if they could really fix their situation. And if they couldn't, what would they do?
She would most likely be sent to prison with him. She unconsciously bit her lip at the thought. There was no way this man would stop her from seeing the rest of the universe.
"So what does your ship look like?" Astraea asked, wanting to distract herself from all the possibilities.
"It's black and looks almost like a fighter jet." He answered, slowing down a bit as he could see her trying to catch up.
Just as he did, he stopped in front of a dark ship. It did look almost like a fighter jet but it was larger with sharp edged wings. It looked like one of the military fly ships that went faster than the eyes could catch.
"How did you get one of these?" Astraea tried but failed to hide her awe struck face.
"I have my ways." He grinned showing his pearly whites.
She wasn't so convinced. "You didn't steal this too, did you?"
"I promise you I didn't." He open the hatch door from underneath the smooth dark ship. "It was a gift."
Astraea followed him into a wide hall with doors along the walls.
"These four doors are bedrooms, you can chose any on the left." Zeph told her, motioning at the doors at the back of the hall. "This door," he pointed to a door near the front, "is the kitchen."
He walked further to the front and through the door at the beginning of the hall. "This is the deck." It was similar to solo ship, however, there were two seats at the panel in the front. There were as long benches along the wall just below some cabinets.
The interior was similar to the outside. Jet black walls and cool blue thin cyber lights along the edges. The floor also had an intricate circular design behind the seats like a teleport.
"What do you think? Can you spend the next few days here?" Zeph waited for her answer.
"It's not bad but I've seen better." She doesn't give him the luxury of knowing how amazing the ship was.
"Where?" He challenged.
"In my mom's attic." She retorted before spinning around, making her way to find a room.
"You know we have to get along is we want to find a cure." He mused at her familiar coldness.
She stopped, turning her head to look over the shoulder that didn't have a backpack. "I'm not getting along with you, ever." She glared at him. "I'll only cooperate if it's in my interest but if it doesn't help, then you should watch out."
He didn't say anymore as she stomped out of the main cabin of the ship. Astraea made her way to the furthest door to the left, the furthest away from him.
Pressing the button on the side of the wall, the door slide, opening into two pieces. Astraea stepped in, analyzing the features of the bedroom.
A large bed sat to the right of the room, it looked better than her bed at COSMIC. In front of the bed was a smooth white cabinet with a holographic screen console on top. The walls were black with a large window on the wall to the right of the bed.
To the left of the bed was a door, most likely a bathroom.
Astraea threw the bag against the side of the bed before falling face first onto the bed. She was exhausted from chasing, being chased, talking, everything.
