Year 3828 — Planet Avior — Section Tria
Zeph and Astraea continued to be chased by the peacekeepers even once they were outside the school lines. They had come by cyber car, however, the two had to improvise now that they were being pursued. The two were now dodging bullets in the common streets around the school.
"You see that bike." Zeph motioned with his head in front of them. A hundred feet in them was a hover bike.
"Yeah." Astraea got the memo, nodding her head with an acknowledging look.
Zeph was the first to hop on the bike with Astraea throwing her leg right after him. With his Helix, Zeph switched on the hover bike giving them more distance from the peacekeepers that were on foot.
However, that didn't stop the ones that were in cyber vehicles and hover bikes. Their sirens announced through the city that there was an enemy among the inhabitants.
Astraea gripped Zeph's dress shirt tighter, hoping not to fall off as he roughly turned a corner trying to lose them in the alleyways. As they did one of the hover bikes began to gain on them.
"On your left!" Astraea made it aware to Zeph. Zeph took a quick glance to his side to see a person dressed in a Striker uniform. Their face was covered by a black helmet so Astraea could make sense of their next moves. The peacekeepers from before were lagging behind, leaving the Striker as the closest.
Zeph spun another corner of the neighborhood to avoid a plasma bullet. The Striker kept firing shots as Astraea ducked her head. If she wasn't targeted she would probably have admired Zeph's driving skills because he managed to avoid most of the bullets. Some bullets imbedded themselves in the back and sides of the bike but luckily, none grazed the two yet.
Zeph then maneuvered the bike around another corner, but this one was an narrow alleyway that could only fit two bikes side by side.
Not expecting this, a bullet hit Zeph's right leg as the Striker was now on their right. Sudden pain filled his leg as well as Astarea's. Seeing them distracted, the Striker butted their bike into theirs, causing them to lose control.
Astraea fell off first, rolling onto the gravel. Zeph followed quickly after, falling on his left side about ten feet away from her. The bike skidded further into the alleyway as the Striker stopped. They got off their bike with two guns raised now.
"It would be ill advised to continue to resist. You'll only make your situation worse," the Striker said with a voice that was oddly familiar to Astraea.
She left out a cough, before glaring down the Striker. Her leg was bleeding out which made it difficult for her to stand right now.
"Astraea?" The Striker voiced in a confused tone.
Fear struck her face. Whoever they were, they knew her.
Slowly moving the gun that was aimed at her to their face, they pressed a button near their neck. The helmet fell like a waterfall, revealing their face and red hair.
Astraea's eyes widened as she realized who it was.
Blazar. He was a Striker that was in Subdivison 1, Gamma Squad. He was stationed to the Strikers team in Section Tria about two months ago. He was one of the few people that the Colonel 'liked'. In other words, Blazar was like a spy for the Colonel. Before he was temporarily stationed in Tria, he would undertake all the Colonel's special orders.
