Year 3828 — COSMIC Headquarters — Section Meden
Astraea was beyond confused at what happened a few days ago. The Colonel letting them go only made her more suspicious of his intentions which is why she was going to do something about it.
It was now Sunday night, El was still up training in the gym so Astraea had the room all to herself.
She had a plan to get some information about the Colonel.
While she was in his office, she noticed his computer screen. There was a circular chip on the side of his keyboard that connected to the glass computer.
She had a hunch as to what it might have on it. If Zeph was right about all of this Colonel Cosmara would have some sort of battle plan or schematics.
Astraea knew that she should probably not try to find out the truth but it kept bothering her. El was right about the Colonel leaving very often. He was going somewhere and she needed to find out where.
Luckily, Colonel Cosmara was currently gone so this gave her the opportunity to sneak in.
Taking out the individual teleport she hid from Elestren, Astraea fiddled with the controls. She had to set the teleport to the exact coordinates of the office. One mistake could set off the alarms.
She was also thankful that the Colonel had no cameras in his office. However, that made her more suspicious of what he was hiding.
Astraea walked to the center of her room. She was wearing all black along with a hood that covered her head. She kept second guessing if she should really do this.
With a deep breath, she held out the teleport, preparing her mind for what she was about to do.
Not a second longer, she clicked the button of the teleport.
Astraea was met with darkness, the only light of the glow of a keyboard. She had done it. She made it inside without tripping an alarm.
Slowly, she pulled out a flashlight from her pocket, shining it to light her path to the desk. The silence in the room was eerie making her skin crawl.
Tiptoeing, she made her way to the back of the desk. Astraea scanned the surface of the desk, searching for any other clues she might have missed.
Seeing nothing unusual, she tapped the keyboard of the computer. The screen lit up making Astraea stuff her flashlight back in her pocket.
The screen of the computer came up to a password encryption. She was ready for this.
The Colonel would be a fool to not have a password. From her other pocket, she removed a circular chip. She placed the chip on the top of the one on the keyboard.
Astraea couldn't find out his password in the time she is here. So her plan is to copy all his data to her chip and figure out the rest later.
The moment she placed the chip, a loading bar appeared. 0%. 1%.
The bar slowly went up. She mentally cursed at how long this was going to take. As she waited for the chip to download, Astraea inspected the rest of his desk.
Opening the top drawer to the left she found folders of documents, mostly from missions.
She opened some more drawers that weren't particularly interesting. She was only stopped at the bottom right drawer which was locked by fingerprint.
Before she could even examine the lock, a clatter was heard in the hall.
Astraea's eyes bulged at the noise, frantically standing to see the percentage of the download.
