*Written in seonghwa's pov*

I watched as the police dragged hongjoong towards the rusty door. I expected him to struggle out of their grip, but he did as he was told, his head dropped in what appeared to be hopelessness.

The officer crouched next to me was asking me questions, something like 'are you hurt?' but I wasn't really paying attention. My eyes were blurry with tears and my legs were going numb. But there was no reason for me to be crying. I didn't know hongjoong well at all. We'd merely met twice and hooked up once, that's it. So why did I miss him already?

I heard someone say "move!" in an aggressive tone, and the shuffling of feet only got louder. I refused to look up from where I was sitting, then my eyes fell on the knife that hongjoong had used on me earlier on. Maybe it was a rush of adrenaline, or an unknown switch in my brain that turned on, whatever if was, I must've been out of my mind, because I reached for the knife and pointed it at the surrounding officers.

"Woah woah, hold on!" One of them cautioned, his voice loud enough to attract the attention of the two officers holding on to hongjoong. Their heads whipped back for a second.

One second was all it took.

The next thing I heard was the sound of glass breaking, followed by the feeling of water spraying down from above me. I had no idea what happened because it happened so fast. The room went pitch black apart from the light from outside, and the freezing cold water trickling my back knocked me right back to the reality of the situation I was in.

I was terrified. I held onto the knife tightly, pulling my legs to my chest as I shivered. I could no longer hear the police officers' screams, which made me even more scared.

"Hyung! Let's go! Now!" Someone yelled from somewhere in the room.

Two more gunshots echoed through the hideout, but before the scream left my throat, I felt a strong, familiar grip around my waist, pulling me up and leading me towards the light. For a moment, I prayed that it was an officer that saved me.

We made it out of the hideout just as the sprinklers shut off. As I struggled to blink away the water in my eyes (either tears or water from the sprinklers, I honestly don't know), I was suddenly forced into a car. My head snapped up to see hongjoong right beside me, slamming the door shut and hitting the back of the driver's seat, signalling to the driver. "GO GO GO!" He exclaimed, pure panic and urgency in his voice.

I took one last look behind at the mess we had just escaped from, and I didn't know what I was expecting, but nothing could have prepared me for what I actually saw. All I remember is seeing red.

Then everything went black.

When I came to, it was dark around me, so for a second I thought I was still in the hideout. Except the ceiling was much higher. I could smell grass, hear water flowing, and people talking to one another.

My body jerked suddenly, making me sit upright like I'd just woken up from a nightmare. The towel draped across my chest fell onto my lap.

"Boy, thank god you're awake."

That voice. I recognised that voice. It was hongjoong's. I turned to the direction of the voice, and sure enough, the gangster was sitting on the hood of a car he'd probably stolen from someone, with a cigarette in his hand. He blew out a puff of smoke before hopping down. The cigarette was handed off to another guy and soon, he was squatting next to me.
