"Shhh shh It's me."
I was taken aback when I looked into his eyes. The same brown eyes which makes my heart flutter every time.
His hold on my wrist loosened and he removed his palm from my mouth. My heart sank beneath the weight of my emotions. I stuttered,
"Some..someone will.. see us."
He shook his head, "I've locked the door."
His hand moved towards my face, as he gently touched the side of my face with his fingers and I closed my eyes after feeling his touch. Goosebumps eradicated all over my skin and I breathed heavily.
"Kyu ro rahin hai aap?"
["Why are you crying?"]
My eyes snapped open at his question. One side of his lips, curved a little. I shook my head. His hand moved towards my arms, trailing his fingers all the way through my forearm, my wrist and then my hand, holding it loosely as he whispered my name in my ear,
"Jahanvi."
And I felt my heart coming out from my chest and bending down on his feet, as it felt defeated infront of him by a single mere word from his mouth.
I gulped silently and hummed.
"Why are you crying?"
I shook my head as I stuttered, "I.. I am not...crying."
I only realised that my eyes were wet when his thumbs traced my tears and wiped it off from my eyes. I closed my eyes, resolving not to see into his. He cupped my chin with his fingers and raised my face up, his lips just a few inches away from me.
"Do you.. feel for me?", his voice was soft.
I breathed in and out for few times and then replied straightforward, "No," because what's even the point of opening upto him about my feelings, so I clearly lied on his face.
"Open your eyes."
I shook my head, tears rolling down from my eyes.
"It's my order. Jahanvi," his voice was demanding this time which sent shivers down my spine.
I opened my eyes slowly, which only blurred my vision due to the wetness in my eyes. He used his left hand to wipe tears from my eyes while he muttered in a low voice,
"I'm sorry."
I stayed silent.
"I shouldn't have used my high tone for you."
My eyes moved up to look into his eyes while he cupped my cheek. I wasn't able to control myself and I asked immediately without thinking twice,
"Jo mai aapki aankhon me dekhti hun Raja-sa, woh sab jhuth hai? Aap mere baare me kuch bhi mehsus nahi karte na?".
