It was finally the day of wedding, and I was at the palace. Devishi wasn't that angry from me, because I had already informed her the reason. But it seemed like Maa-sa was. I can't help, she denied when I actually wanted to talk with her. And I'm not a kid that she can fix my wedding without letting me know on first hand.
I mean, I had an idea that she was going to do this. But about 'giving her words' I had never imagined. Mitali wasn't lying that day. It was written clearly in her eyes that she had witnessed the sight herself.
I got myself dressed up in the same blue kurta that Jahanvi had selected for me, when we had went for shopping. I walked first towards my sister's room and I was pretty sure that I'll end up vulnerable after seeing her in her wedding dress.
And that's what actually happened.
I stepped inside the room and saw Ishi standing alone inside the room. No one was there. She was sitting on the chair infront of the mirror. All dressed up in her Red beautiful poshak. Her body embedded with beautiful gold jewelleries.
She saw me and stood up.
"How am I looking, bhai-sa?" She asked in a low voice. I just smiled.
I was the one who fought to take her on my lap when she was born. I was the one with whom she learned to walk along with when she was one. I was the one who used to play with her when she was two. I was the one with whom she started spelling alphabets when she turned three.
I was the one to take care of her, when our father passed away when she was four. I was the one who held her hand and walked along with her inside the school campus for the first time when she turned five. And today, she is standing infront of me in her wedding dress.
Tears just welled up in my eyes. I saw Krishiv entering inside. Wearing a yellow kurta. He saw tears in both of our eyes and his eyes welled up too. It didn't took even one second more when we ended up hugging each other so tightly and sobbing like kids.
"How will I live without you two?" Ishi cried.
"I will not let you go anywhere. I'll ask Yuv to stay back in the palace itself," Krishiv spoke.
"We'll be few minutes away from you, Ishi, one call and we'll reach to you," I spoke.
She nodded her head and we were still crying when we heard her voice, "Ishi, do you—" her voice trailed off when she saw us hugging each other. "Sorry," she muttered and was about to turn around when Ishi spoke, "Jaanvi, lock the door and come to us, please."
Atleast this time, she didn't refuse. She locked the door and took her steps towards her. Ishi spread her arm and she moved towards us, hugging us lightly.
"I am going to miss you all," Ishi cried more. My eyes welled up more. I caressed her back when she started hiccuping and Jahanvi immediately broke the hug to bring water for her.
