I walked towards him with my slow steps and stood infront of him. He didn't react. There were earphones in his ears. I looked into his eyes, but he didn't.
I held his shoulders but he didn't react. I knew that it would need efforts. But not much.
I knew the secret.
I held his knees and widened his legs. Without thinking twice, I sat on his thigh. He was still. And suddenly, I felt his leg on which I was sitting, slipping a little because of slipping of snow and I almost stumbled but his hand reached to hold my waist tightly and making me sit comfortably on his thigh.
He didn't remove his hand after that. But he was quiet.
I cupped his cheek, moved forward and pressed my lips upon his other cheek for once. But no reaction came from his side.
I encircled my hand around his neck and snuggled my face in the crook of his neck, kissing him lightly on his neck. While caressing his cheek lightly with my thumb, I called his name, in a low voice,
"Dev."
Silence.
"I'm sorry na."
More silence.
"I'll never do it again, Dev."
Silence.
"Are you angry from me?".
He stayed silent.
I kissed on his neck again, intertwining our fingers together and then spoke, "Dev, I'm so sorry. I just don't know, I was so angry, it just bursted out upon you. I take my every single word back. Please Devansh. Forgive me."
I looked up at him. But he didn't react at all. And suddenly my eyes fell on his earphones again, damn!
I took it from his ear and inserted it into mine. He was listening to damn loud music. I immediately pulled the other one from his ear and kept it aside.
"Dev, dekhiye na idhar please."
"Dev, look at me, please."
He gulped.
"Dev, I'm sorry. I just— I was angry. I'm sorry."
He blinked his eyes several times.
"Dev. Please, dev. Don't do this to me."
And done.
Tears rolled down his eyes and his head landed upon my chest.
I wrapped my hands around him tightly and caressed the nape of his neck from back.
"Shhh... Dev.. Don't cry," tears rolled down my eyes too.
"I-I'm.. I'm sorry," his words came out in a whisper amidst his cries, "You were not well and I argued with you— using my high voice on you— using cuss words infront of you. I'm so freaking sorry, baby."
