29 ~ Jahanvi speaks the truth

A week flew away in a swift motion since our last date and I was going to visit the palace after a week, today, after so many days. I think the last time I visited was two weeks ago.  Also, Kunwar-sa Krishiv had informed me that Princess Mitali has also arrived so it was pretty obvious for me to visit the palace in order to flex my rights on Dev, infront of her, ONLY IF SHE TRIGGERS ME.

I walked inside the palace and made my way straightforward towards my bestest friend's room. As the door swung open, I was caught by the sight of her cousin sisters and her college friends sitting along with her. I instantly regretted entering inside. But Kanak, who was also present inside, held my hand and pulled me inside to join them.

I spent some two hours along them. I wasted my two hours along with them. They were talking about their college days. Even some of them were her school-time best friends. I felt so out of place that I finally stood up from there and excused myself.

I understand about Devishi. She was trying to pay equal attention to me, but for this one time, I didn't wanted to be there. It was feeling so odd.

The next thing I did was, unlocked my phone and dialled his number. Because, I literally had no one to talk with. Even Kunwar-sa wasn't in the palace.

The rings went for seven times and then he finally picked up my call.

"Is it urgent?" the first question from him and I rolled my eyes back feeling so frustrated. He must be busy too.

"No, we can talk later," I replied half-heartedly.

'Excuse me for a second,' I heard in background, his voice.

After few seconds he spoke finally, "Is everything fine, baby? Do you need something? I'm sorry, I'm in the middle of a meeting. But you can tell me. No problem."

I laughed to myself. "Breathe, Raja-sa." How can I even doubt his love when he is ready to talk with me in the middle of a meeting, which surely must be important for him.

"Everything's fine?"

"Yes, I was just, at the palace and I thought..." I trailed off my words leaving them in the middle for him to understand. He cleared his throat,

"I'm sorry, baby. It will take atleast an hour. So sorry."

I smiled. "It's okay. Go, carry on. Sorry to disturb."

"If you can stay... For an hour.. I love you, please."

I laughed soundly this time, "I'll try Raja-sa. And I love you too, Dev. Go now. Bye."

He hummed and disconnected the call.

A war started in my head about what to do now. After quite a good minutes, I did what I felt like. To go back to Ishi's room and waste my another hour along with her friends.

I had merely started walking towards her room, when an assistant stood infront of me, blocking my way. I joined my hands infront of her as she was older than me. She nodded her head and spoke,
