To be honest, I hadn't even bought the ring for her. It all happened so quickly. Krishiv messaged me that her parents allowed her to come with him and I - I instantly decided that I'm going to propose to her today. For marriage. No matter what.
That's what I did. I told him that I'll talk with Jahanvi and meanwhile, Priya and Krishiv should visit the nearest store and pick out the best ring for my love. The best one.
The ring wasn't of my choice, but that doesn't matter. What matters is, she said YES. She said fucking yesssss !
I could not describe my happiness. I just cannot. It was like a dream come true. I felt so happy. So outwardly.
Now, there's just one thing left. My mother's permission. I don't know whether she'll say yes or not, but it's my duty to convince her. She's my mother. She deserves to know. She deserves to be pampered and convinced by me. So, here I'm. In the palace. After three days of proposing to her. To convince her. To tell her that I've proposed to the love of my life for marriage and she said yes !
I walked straight away towards her room.
I saw an assistant who was standing outside her room.
"Is Maa-sa inside?" I asked her.
She gave me a nod. But when I was about to enter inside, she interrupted, "Raja-sa. Don't go inside now."
I frowned. "Why?"
Her head and eyes were down. "Princess Mitali and her parents are inside, talking with Rajmata."
I inhaled deeply. "When did they come to Jodhpur? Why wasn't I informed about their arrival?"
She shook her head, "I don't know, Raja-sa. But they went inside some twenty minutes ago. And..and."
She stuttered."And what?"
"And ..they were looking angry," she said in a go.
I rolled my eyes and walked inside her room, "Maa-sa?"
My eyes fell on her, Princess Mitali and her parents who were sitting on the sofa. Maa-sa's eyes snapped to me.
I smiled a little and walked forward to touch her feet first, "Pranam, Maa-sa."
I joined my hands in front of her parents, "Pranam!"
They didn't react. Then Maa-sa singalled me to sit. I sat down beside her. My eyes fell on Mitali who was glaring at me, and her father was staring at me too. Then my mother said, "They want to talk with you, Devansh."
I nodded. "Yes, Raja-sa."
Her father straightened up. "Tell me one thing Devansh.. Why do you not want to marry my daughter?"
I looked at Maa-sa then back to him. "I thought Maa-sa and Mitali would have informed you. They didn't?"
He nodded a bit, seriously, "I heard about it. If you liked someone else than HOW DARE YOU TOUCH MY DAUGHTER INAPPROPRIATELY?"
