12 ~ Devansh's request to Jahanvi

I moved outside from my room and made my way towards the hall. As soon as I entered inside, I saw Devishi walking up to me with concern as she asked, "Where were you, Jaanvi? I was so tensed."

I replied in a soft, normal voice, "I was in the garden, I needed to catch some fresh air."

Just then I saw Raja-sa entering inside the hall behind me and Devi muttered to him, "Thank you bhai-sa for finding her."

He gave her a nod and walked further inside, leaving us alone. I walked inside along with Devishi. She stood beside Prince Yuvansh and I stood with them.

Prince looked at me and I joined my hands infront of him to greet him. Devishi spoke while looking between him and me, "She is my bestfriend, Jaanvi."

He passed me a smile with a nod in gratitude and spoke, "Nice to meet you, Jaanvi."

I nodded back with a smile.

Couples were dancing on the slow song playing in the background. I stood right there, looking down, not knowing what exactly to do. Kanak and Naina joined us too along with Kunwar-sa.

Kunwar-sa complemented, "Um-hm looking good, Jaanvi."

I muttered a 'thank you' to him. Kunwar-sa has always been friendly to me unlike Raja-sa. Because Kunwar-sa and my personality matches. I'm a chatterbox and he too, is a big chatter box. Plus, he treats me like Devi and her cousin sisters. I tie him Rakhi every year.

Once, Kunwar-sa jokingly asked me to tie Rakhi to Raja-sa too, and when Raja-sa heard that, he simply stood up from his place and walked away with a serious face. I had smiled that day within myself.

"Let's dance bhai-sa," Naina spoke to Kunwar-sa. He agreed and they walked along to the dance floor. Kanak walked along with one of her male friend. I looked at Devishi and she scrunched her nose, "I've danced enough today."

I smiled. Just then, I saw someone's palm in front of me as he asked me, "Dance with me?". I moved my gaze up to look at it's owner. And God, I had seen that face earlier. I tried to recall who it was and it hit my mind suddenly, it was the same person who was sitting along with Prince Yuvansh and his mother the other day.

I looked beside me towards Devishi. She was smiling. Prince Yuvansh interrupted, "This is my friend, Jaanvi. Vedant."

I looked at him and passed him a smile. He asked again, "Dance?".

I shook my head slowly, "No.. I.. I.. don't know how to dance."

Devishi interrupted at the exact bad moment, "She is lying. She is a pro in dance." Prince Yuvansh laughed, "He is a pro too, unlike me."

"Come-on, Missss?", he asked to which Devii replied, "Jahanvi."

"Come-on Miss Jahanvi. You'll not regret."
