"WHAT do you have there?" cedric asked as he took a bite of his breakfast, eyeing up the unopened letter in his young friends hand.

"i'm not quite sure." the girl mumbled, all she knew was that it was from her father. which meant it was nothing good for her, "it's from my father."

"oh?" cedric questioned, watching as the girl hesitantly opened the letter up and watched her facial expressions drop as she read the letter

dear alyra jane,

im extremely disappointed by what i've heard about you in the past week. i heard about your boggart alyra. dont think you can hide things from me like that. expect to have a long talk when your brother and yourself come home for your winter break. i've never expected a lot from you, but i certainly expected you to be better than this. i'm disappointed.

you sincerely,
your father

once she finished reading she just put the letter back into the little envelope and sat there with a blank expression, she was going to kill draco.

"are you okay malfoy?" cedric asked, but the girl didn't answer, only got up from where she sat next to him and walked quickly towards the slytherin table, tapping harshly on her brothers shoulder and glaring down at him

"wha-" draco was about to snap angrily as he turned around, but was ultimately surprised to see it was his sister standing above him, "alyra?"

"i hate you!" she snapped at him, getting looks from students of every house, most people hadn't noticed the two, just those nearby, "i hate you so much."

"ly- what?" he shook his head, completely confused about what he could've done to earn this type of reaction from his twin, "what did i do?"

"you told father about my boggart, didn't you?" she asked, he noticed she had some tears in her eyes and his eyes softened as he looked up at her, "he wrote me, telling me how disappointed he is in me. so thanks a lot!"

by this point, a lot of eyes were on him as people heard the girl clearly now near crying as she yelled at her twin brother. most everyone who knew them knew that the malfoy twins were close, people knew the duo had always been close.

"i didn't tell him anything ly, i promise you." draco told her, but the girl just shook her head, wiping tears from her eyes

"i don't believe you." she spoke, still glaring at him, "i just hate you so much."

"you don't hate me alyra." draco told her, shaking his head as his sister, "i'm your brother."

"you know, sometimes i really just sit there and i wonder, hm.. what would it be like if it were only me. and i've always felt so.. so guilt about it." she admits, and watches as her twins face drops quickly, "but i don't think i feel very guilty about thinking that right now. maybe.. just maybe out father would actually care about me at least a little bit if you didn't exist."

"that is such a selfish thought lyra, i have never been anything but a good brother to you." he said, standing up so she wasn't the taller one anymore, cause now he too was upset, "i have never done anything to you, and i sure as hell didn't do what you are unfairly accusing me of right now."

"the fact that you don't notice it is the problem!" she shouted at him, most of the hall going quiet as they all witnessed the malfoy girls near breakdown, "you don't even notice how you make everything fall on you. i can't do anything without it being brought back to you! i can't even like anyone without thinking about what you would think about me if i liked them! i'm so.. im so sick of it!"
