A gray-haired girl sat crying next to Kaede, who had her arm around her shoulders. It was a day like many others in which Kazumi had been bullied by older middle school students.

The reason for this was her appearance, which Kaede didn't mind at all. Because it was in middle school that many girls began to change. And that was due to their puberty, which could be different for everyone.

Of course, Kaede was very lucky when it came to this issue. Her skin remained smooth and clear. Only rarely was there a pimple to be seen, which she was able to cover with her hair.

Kaede was also lucky that these blemishes often disappeared the next day, which is why she didn't need any cosmetic products. However, it was the complete opposite for Kazumi.

There were always blemishes on her face, which sometimes became inflamed. She tried to hide a few spots with make-up, which unfortunately didn't help. Because her classmates knew her well enough by now. They knew that there was redness under the little mask.

To Kaede, her face didn't look bad at all. Basically, Kazumi was a really pretty girl. Even with her blemishes.

"Don't listen to them, Kazumi. They're just jealous of you because you're pretty even with all your flaws and they're slapping this concrete in your face." Kaede spoke calmly and held the gray-haired girl in her arms. She didn't care that her blouse was getting wet from her tears.

"You're only saying that...because you're...my best friend..." Kazumi cried and would have been quite lost without Kaede. She had often wondered why Kaede was still by her side. After all, the older students would be after her too.

"That's not true at all." Kaede said reassuringly. "I'm saying it because it's the truth. It's completely natural and human and the other girls have no idea."

Kazumi sobbed as she slowly calmed down. She only really cried when she was alone or with Kaede. At school, she suppressed everything so that no one would get the idea that they could continue to laugh at her.

"It will certainly be much better at secondary school. And by then, your skin will have calmed down. I'm almost certain of that." Kaede smiled encouragingly as Kazumi rubbed her eyes.

"Thank you for being there for me..." said Kazumi, who considered herself lucky to have such a friend, who was also one of the prettier kind.

"Not for that. And if anything happens, you come to me. Even if it's at school and I don't find out straight away." spoke Kaede, who was from the rooms in the adjacent building.

"I will, I promise." , the gray-haired girl smiled slightly and hoped that things would really be better at the secondary school.
