/Until high school, Kyoko had rarely been seen in the school building. Every day she went there just to follow the lessons and then to the school library because she didn't know exactly where to go in the city. So the blonde-haired girl had no chance of seeing any faces that would have broken her heart even more. The perpetrators had tried to approach her in the first few days. However, Kyoko remained consistent and ignored this group, as she couldn't say anything in her condition./

Kaede paused for a moment to make sure that she had really acted that way. She herself had probably never realized it these days. Her novel alone made Kaede realize how stupid she sometimes acted. She should have opened her mouth in middle school. She should have told the perpetrators that they were to blame for everything. But she decided to run away from everything and everyone. Something she had regretted.

Kaede actually wanted to portray herself better in her novel. Let Kyoko act differently than she had done back then. However, she had changed her mind, as the novel was based on a fact and a so-called diary.

At least Kaede had had the heart to tackle this chapter. The chapter about Kazumi's death would certainly have been the hardest of all. The memorial service and the funeral were nothing in comparison. At least as far as the fact was concerned. The feelings were more or less the same, just adapted to the situation.

/Seeing Koko's face in the hallways all the time was especially hard for Kyoko. In the first two days, the blonde-haired girl had almost tried to throw the table with the flowers and the photo on the floor and spread everything in the hallway. That's how much Kyoko had hated this school and those bullies. Maybe she really should have done it to let her feelings run free at least once./

Kaede stopped again and smiled at this. If Atsumu had been at her middle school, he would have called her the table thrower from then on. It was almost funny how her nickname had spread at Inarizaki. She had earned the respect of many students ever since.

If Kaede thought about it, Chika's bullies would soon be leaving the school. Her third year would also be over soon, as would those of Kita, Aran, Ren and Akagi, with whom she was actually quite good friends. Just like everyone on the team, which was perhaps due to Chika and Megumi.

Kaede's time at secondary school went by faster than she expected. Middle school, on the other hand, seemed incredibly long to her. Perhaps it was also because she now had to think about her future and her professional life. When you're young, you have little or no such thoughts.

For the Tokoyami, the question now arose as to whom she would give the finished book to read first. Corrections would have to be made anyway, depending on how everything came across. Finding a good publisher who would then print the novel was certainly not easy either. Kaede had never thought about that before.

She had probably reached the halfway point of her novel soon. But it had taken her a whole year to get this far, as she had always taken breaks. However, her novel would also include high school and more of a fictitious ending, so to speak.

Kaede still didn't know what her future looked like, or what it would be like in ten years' time. And that's where Osamu came in, who she liked to see in this role. A person who was independent. Someone you could talk to normally and who would even listen. His character had always made a positive impression on her.

That alone was reason enough to make him the main male protagonist, who was supposed to help Kyoko cope better with everything. A role that Dai was supposed to have as her boyfriend, but he was out of the question because of the distance. Dai would probably always be there for her and play a certain role. But he probably wouldn't understand her that well.

Osamu, on the other hand, had recognized her situation with Chika relatively quickly and had found good words to talk to her about it. There were hardly any similarities, as both behaved nicely and calmly. If you didn't count Dai's outburst and jealousy and Osamu's provocative manner.

And yet there was a difference, which Kaede had sensed quite quickly. A feeling that she had never experienced with anyone before, not even with Dai. The feeling of being really attracted to someone, even though that person had hardly done anything for it. To simply feel comfortable without having to talk every day. And that was exactly what Kaede had felt with Osamu when he had approached her alone during the lunch break.

"No Kaede...stop falling in love..." she breathed softly to herself as she realized it here and now.
