"Why don't you write your own book? A novel, for example?" asked Kazumi, who had caught her best friend in the library reading other books and taking notes from them.
"Because I'm embarrassed. Besides, I don't want people to hate my book because it's badly written." Kaede replied and raised her head briefly. Kazumi's eyes were slightly red, which led her to assume that something had happened again that the gray-haired girl didn't want to talk about.
"Besides, I wouldn't know what to write." Kaede finally admitted and turned her attention back to the book in front of her. Kaede had skipped some parts of the book, while she had taken a closer look at other passages. By now, she was able to distinguish between the different sentence formations and knew exactly what to look for.
"About your life, maybe." said Kazumi, who had sat down next to her and leaned against the bookshelf. "My life?" Kaede asked, somewhat amused. "It's not that exciting."
"I think it is. You could write something like a diary, a biography as a kind of novel." Kazumi thought about it and smiled slightly. "You could even mention me and what's going on in my life."
"So you want me to expose you in the book?" Kaede asked suspiciously. "No, I'm talking about you bringing up the subject for the readers. You know. There are many people in the world who are beaten up by other people." Kazumi said, lowering her head.
"Well, if I'd had a very good book earlier that had helped me through life, I would have been very happy." admitted the middle school student.
Kaede had never thought about that. It was true that people didn't talk much about bullying and didn't often take it seriously. But to make a novel or something similar out of this topic, Kaede somehow found it a bit absurd.
"Just think about it. But I know you have the talent for it and would be the first to buy and read the book." Kazumi grinned, which made Kaede smile.
"As if I would ever ask you for money." Kaede said, nudging her upper body with her arm, which was leaning slightly to the side. "I'm serious, Kaede. Do something with your talent."
The brown-haired girl exhaled softly. "I'll think about it." , she gave in a little and recognized a small smile in the corner of her eye, which had only appeared on her. Kazumi didn't usually smile often. Actually, she had nothing to be ashamed of. It was just that she didn't feel like smiling at school.
"Well, I'll wait until it's time." Kazumi promised. "Even if I have to wait ten years."
