"Kazumi!" Kaede called out again when she looked around and could no longer see her best friend. Kaede assumed that Kazumi was hiding somewhere again and had cried her eyes out.
This fact made the brown-haired middle school student angry. Her hands clenched into fists as she turned around and looked towards the school building.
Without really thinking about it, Kaede ran back, opened the door and walked down the corridor, which had slowly emptied a little.
The laughter of the girls and some of the boys was clearly audible, which only made Kaede angrier. Her heart, however, ached when she remembered Kazumi's appearance, so Kaede simply acted as she saw fit.
"What's your problem?!" Kaede asked angrily, causing the group to flinch. They knew Kaede in this school. Everyone actually knew that she tended to behave more quietly and didn't exactly get loud.
"What's your problem with Kazumi?!" Kaede asked in more detail, as she hadn't received any answers. "Ahh, that's what you're talking about." spoke the blue-haired girl, who looked like the leader to Kaede.
"Have you ever looked at her? She should take care of her looks rather than giving us eye cancer with that sight." , the girl said. "But I must say, Kazumi looked really funny when the bucket of water came over her."
The group was now laughing, which Kaede hadn't felt at all. "You're the ones who have to pay attention to looks!" Kaede yelled, which the girls didn't like at all.
"Why are you interfering, Kaede?" asked the blue-haired girl. "Be glad we're leaving you alone, even though you're spending time with her."
"Fuck me instead of her for all I care!" hissed the brown-haired girl, who simply wanted to give free rein to her feelings. Kazumi had repeatedly asked her not to interfere so that things wouldn't get worse. But Kaede simply couldn't watch and listen to what was hurting her best friend.
"Why? We have nothing to complain about with you. You're pretty, you dress well and you'd be able to defend yourself against us anyway. Little Kazumi, on the other hand, is the perfect little victim." , the girl explained.
So they were really targeting the weak people who were already ashamed of everything and insecure. "If you had a nice character in addition to your looks, I wouldn't hate you for what you're doing. You don't know how a person feels when they're being beaten up. And even though I don't condone it or wish it on anyone, I hope that one day you will be a victim of bullying." spoke Kaede, who just wanted to turn her back on these people.
