"Sorry I'm late!" came from Kaede, who had met up with Osamu the next day, as the last day had been extremely long and exhausting. After the visit to the cemetery and the conversation with Kazumi's parents, Kaede needed some time to herself and was kindly taken home by Osamu. He had said that he wouldn't give up on her, which is why Kaede had immediately given him a location and a small assignment.
"That's okay. It was rather strange because people looked at me so strangely. I guess you don't walk around with flowers like that." the gray-haired man said slightly absently with a hint of provocation, since he had been talking about the other people at that moment. "How much do I owe you?" Kaede asked with a slight smirk, as she found his look slightly amusing.
Osamu still had some traits from before and some that could be seen a little more often in Atsumu. Well, when he wasn't out with Megumi. Miya was a bit friendlier, which was probably why Megumi had rubbed off on him. At least that's what she had said.
"Nothing." Osamu shrugged his shoulders. "Think of it as a small gift." Kaede smiled gently. She didn't want to say anything against it. She knew Osamu well enough to know that he wouldn't change his mind about this. "Which way are we going?" he asked. "Actually, we're already where we should be." Kaede admitted, which is why Osamu had taken a better look around. "Oh..."
Shaking her head slightly, Kaede ran forward into the next building. Osamu, who had been running after her, had stopped paying attention to the rest of the surroundings. Otherwise he would have seen that there was a hospital right next to it. He must have been deep in thought.
"Grandma, what are you doing?!" Miya heard and was immediately taken out of his thoughts. Kaede had almost run towards an old woman who was trying to get something from a high shelf.
"I wanted to read." said the woman, who was put back to bed by Kaede. "Then someone ask. You were brought here because of a fall. Otherwise it would only take longer for you to get back to your friends at home." Kaede spoke calmly and put the blanket over her legs.
Slightly confused, the gray-haired woman looked at the young girl. She thought all the guests here were extremely young and didn't think they were women.
Her brown eyes now turned to the other person in the room. For a brief moment, she blinked before smiling happily. "What a handsome young man." came out of her mouth, which made Osamu smile. Kaede's grandma was really cute.
"How do you do? It's a pleasure to meet you." Osamu bowed and held out a bouquet of flowers to her. "I've heard that you like daisies."
The gray-haired woman smiled delightedly. "Ohhh, my husband used to give me some too. Are you related to him?" came a somewhat absent question. "No, I'm not related to any of your families." Osamu spoke softly, which made Kaede smile.
Osamu was really very patient with her. It warmed her heart to hear and see this conservation. Many people would give up in a conversation like this, or not even try to answer.
"I see..." murmured the old woman, who had continued to look at the young man. "You would fit in very well with my granddaughter." she then said without realizing that she was actually sitting in front of her as well.
