After Kaede had written down some things for her novel during the sentences and talked to Megumi on the side, she had looked up at the end after all, as many of the students had stood up. The noise had gone on for quite a while, while there had also been music at the Karasuno. The only difference was that these fans were playing large drums, which actually provided a pleasant rhythm.
The green-brown eyes of the Tokoyami turned to the scoreboard to see which sets were being played. She could see that the score was currently tied 1:1.
Kaede had probably missed a lot when she had sunk back into her world and hadn't really paid attention to anything. Her eyes now turned to the other two numbers, which were already in the twenties.
Unconsciously, Kaede stood up, just as Megumi had done long ago, looking rather nervous. "What did I miss?" Kaede asked.
"A few things." came from the black-haired girl, who had a completely different attitude than usual due to her job as a manager. It didn't always show in her, but it showed that she could be braver.
"You wouldn't understand anyway." The girl immediately said, which made Kaede look at her in surprise. Had Megumi really insulted her in the slightest way now?
Blinking several times, Kaede glanced at her friend before scratching her cheek lightly in thought. "Did...she really tell me that now...?" she asked herself quietly. Megumi now spoke a little more openly around her, while her insecurity still came out in some topics. But she had never said anything so directly and promptly before.
Kaede certainly didn't hold it against her. It was rather surprising and new to her. This managerial job was really doing her a lot of good. Either Atsumu was rubbing off on her, or Megumi had picked up a few things from Suna that she could use herself. Suna neither took offense nor got into an argument.
He tried to find something in everyone to make them look bad, but he didn't always find anything in anyone. Especially not with Kita, who had never given him a reason before. Kita was a strange boy anyway. He cleaned the changing room after training, took loving care of his comrades and was the only one who could calm Miya down in his own way.
He was just far too nice. Even towards Atsumu, who had even received medicine from him when he had a cold. So Suna could search for a long time until he had something against Kita.
"I'll get him!" Kaede now heard clearly as silence fell all around her. Her eyes were now focused on the court as the volleyball was high in the air. The atmosphere on the field was a little more hectic than usual, although the Karasuno had calmed down as soon as the orange-haired boy had patiently brought the ball even higher into the air.
His grin and the gleam in his eyes were clearly visible. But now Kaede wondered what that feeling would be. Whether this was the deciding factor in really loving volleyball. Because even with Dai, Kaede had never really understood why people liked kicking a soccer ball back and forth on a playing field all the time. Did he have a similar feeling to this boy when he had achieved something positive?
It was possible. Because Kaede wasn't just asking herself this question for her novel in order to be able to describe Daisuke better. No, Kaede also asked herself this question in order to understand Osamu better.
