Coraline's POV:
I had been woken up by yelling. I recognized the yelling. Taylor and Joe. I tried to ignore them but Taylor's voice was starting to sound sad. I knew she was hurting.
Taylor's POV:
" Why do you not love me?!" I yell. " You always care about Cora! That's why!" Joe yells back. " Are you jealous of an 9 year old?!" I scream. " Of course I am! It's always Cora, Cora, Cora, Cora! Always!" Joe shouts. " You're going to wake Cora up!" I shout back. " I don't care!" Joe screams. " Leave Joe! Now!" I say, my voice sounding shaky.
Coraline's POV:
I hear Taylor tell Joe to leave. I think she was starting to cry. I didn't want her to know that I heard the entire fight since she was upset so, I just got up to see her and pretend like I haven't heard the fight.
"Tay?" I ask, my voice quiet.
Taylor's POV:
"Tay?" I hear Cora's quiet voice ask. " Hey babes." I say, my voice quiet and shaky. "Tay, what's wrong?" She asks. "Nothings wrong babe." I say, my voice breaking and my eyes filled with tears. " No, something's definitely wrong. You never cry." She says. "Tay, you don't have to keep your emotions in because of me. I cry all the time in front of you. You can cry in front of me. I'll be right here." She says. " Aww babes. Thank you." I say, my tears fall down my cheeks. Cora comes over and hugs me. Then I hear faint singing from her:
Maybe now it's time and maybe when I wake.
They'll be there calling me baby.
Maybe
I immediately start to cry again. Cora hugged me and said, " It's okay Tay. He's gone now. He can't hurt you anymore. Everything's okay now. I love you so much."
