A Demand

(Luisa POV)

I woke up with a terrible headache and groaned as I sat up from the bed, Alana chuckled at my pain and I pouted

"why are laughing at me when i'm hurt, you should be giving me cuddles right now" I grumbled and she pulled me down to the bed, hugging my head in her arms

"feel better yet?" she started brushing my hair with her fingers and I let out a noise of assent, almost falling back asleep when she suddenly let go and got up for breakfast, I whined as the bright sunlight flooded my vision, I tried to stand up and almost fell back onto the bed, my head pounding

"my head hurts and i'm hungry, is breakfast soon?" I asked Alana

"that's where we're going right now, come on" she pulled me up from the bed and downstairs while I complained, eventually I sat at the table beside Mirabel, who instantly commented on my appearance

"you look terrible Lu, did you sleep at all last night?"

I grumbled something back and drank a cup of coffee, then another, slightly helping the pounding ache in my skull, my mama came out of the kitchen and, noticing my zombie-like state, asked what was wrong

"it's nothing mama, I just didn't get much sleep last night"

"are you sure you can do chores today mija, you look exhausted"

"i'm sure mama, i'll be fine"

I finished eating and headed out the door, the sunlight instantly blinded me when I stepped outside and I put a hand up for cover before continuing into town.
when I got there I saw several young men hanging around town centre, probably waiting for Isa to come down from casita.

I started on my chores, slowly lifting barrels and bricks over my head while I shuffled to where they had to go and placed them down when I heard someone start walking with me, I turned to see Isa following in my shadow while casting uncomfortable glances over her shoulder at a crowd of young men following us, then she turned to me

"hey Lu, d'you think I could hang out with you for the rest of the day?"

"sure, I don't see why not" I cast a mean glance at one of the guys creeping closer to her and he rushed back to the mob, I continued with my chores while Isa started chatting with a girl named Sofia who distracted her from the guys following us.

at one point both of them disappeared, leaving me to my chores alone and I started thinking about last night, I couldn't really remember all that had happened, but I remembered drinking a lot, puking, showering, talking to Alana about a baby, wait, didn't I tell her I wanted to have a baby with her? my face flushed red but I was saved from further thoughts by a muffled cry for help, I looked down an alley and saw a boy bound to the wall with vines, some covering his mouth, this happened at least once on Isas birthday every year, the boys would make her uncomfortable and she'd just tie 'em up, so I pulled the vine off of his mouth and he instantly started talking

"your sister's crazy, she tied me up for no reason at all, I was just trying to be friendly and get to know her and she wrapped me with these vines, now help me get out!" he demanded

I chuckled and started walking away while he yelled at me

"hey! get back here! help me out!"

"nah, its your own fault you're there so i'm sure you can find a way out"

I continued out the alley while he screamed at my back, i'll come back tonight if no one had let him down by then.

I was rejoined by Isa who was now losing her crowd while the sun waned in the sky, and she told me about her day, talking an awful lot about Sofia and how cool she was, and I saw an opportunity to tease her like she did to me
