Cursed Luisa AU-pt.3

1 week from the Full Moon

Bruno anxiously paced around the room, he had been watching the family and he was worried for Luisa, but last night it was the worst, last night, for the first time in a long time, he had a vision.

it started like any other, whirling sand, green figures, the works, but it became worse as the vision progressed, cracks spreading through casita and bodies everywhere, the mountains collapsing wolves surging through the town and destroying everything in their path, the vision tablet that dropped afterwards was less graphic but just as cryptic, Luisa standing in front of a collapsing Encanto, but shifting it the other way revealed a intact Encanto with Luisa standing with her family as a united front, Bruno wasn't sure what to make of it but he would try his hardest to find out, for his family

Luisas mood had been getting prgressively worse all week, it started with staying in her room except for meals and asking people to leave her alone to actively pushing people out when they tried to enter and barely talking at dinner, she would eat quickly and run back up to her room, Pepa, Dolores, and Isabela tried to explain her behavior but they couldn't stop Julieta from worrying about her hija, she knew she was hiding something but respected her privacy enough to leave her alone when she asked, and Camilo tried endlessly to try and get Dolores to tell him wat was going on, he felt like they were leaving him out of a big joke and he hated it.

unfortunately he didn't have time to dig deeper, apparently Abuela had something important she wanted to say to dinner tonight which couldn't be anything good, they had to spend the evening preparing for it.

When they sat down for dinner they looked at abuela, who didn't seem to want to make her announcement yet, so everyone started eating instead.

While they were in the middle of their meal abuela decided now was the time for her announcement

"Luisa, we need to discuss your behaviour"

Luisa looked up from her plate, she was hoping she could get out of this dinner as quickly as possible but that wasn't happening anymore

"What about it?"

"It's been completely unacceptable recently, you've lost all of your manners, you eat like an animal, you aren't doing chores, you hide in your room all day, and you need to shave your body hair, it looks ridiculous for a woman to have hair like that, how do you expect to find a husband acting like this!"

Luisa almost choked on her food, she had been ignoring most of abuela words, letting them go in one ear and out the other, she knew her behaviour would be addressed eventually but the husband talk caught her off guard

"I.. wasn't really thinking about finding a husband I guess"

"I can tell, I'm considering it pure luck anyone has shown any interest in you at all, I've had a few young men show their interest in courting you to me"

Luisa did really choke on her food this time, she wasn't thinking about getting a husband anytime soon, it hadn't occurred to her that anyone would be interested in her and she couldn't think of any men in the village she was interested in, she couldn't imagine herself with a husband, it almost made her gag

"Sorry, excuse me?"

It had come out a little harsher than intended but abuela didn't pick up on it

"Yes it's wonderful, there's Pascal Pedro, Dante Garcia, and Emmanuel Lopez, you may choose which one of them you like the most"

"Abuela... I don't like any of them"

Dante was nice enough, but he was pretty much a stranger to Luisa, they only talked when Luisa needed to do a job for his family, Emmanuel was annoying and constantly tried to tell Luisa that women shouldn't be strong and try to do one of her chores for her and fail miserably, then sulk and head home, Pascal was just weird, not bad, but he had never even talked to Luisa before except once or twice, Luisa suspected he wasn't interested in women at all, his family had probably urged him to do this.
