Third-Person POV.
The lowest of the low, humans. They were always at the bottom of every food chain. Sure, it could have been the animals, but no one really had any reason to hurt animals, as these creatures were a part of nature and were only following their very instincts. Humans, on the other hand, have free will. They can think, judge, decide, and contemplate, they can do a lot that animals cannot even begin to comprehend. Yet, humans were not a part of nature, or at least, that's what the supernaturals tell themselves. Nature only consisted of life, plants, animals, and purity. Humans were never pure, and were, therefore, incompatible with such a holy presence like nature. They were the lowest of the low, and they will always be the lowest of the low.
After the humans, came the higher beings, the supernaturals. Vampires, werewolves, witches, wizards, demons, angels, elves, fairies, and so much more. Of course between the supernaturals, there were all sorts of hierarchies between them, but listing all of them would take forever. Thus, only the strongest ones shall be named.
The vampires, bloodsucking creatures who took delight in scaring the humans. They were at the top of the hierarchy, along with other several kinds, because why wouldn't they be? They had superhuman strength, were the second fastest kind, and could suck the blood from anyone. Of course they had to be at the top. Beside them, stood the werewolves, the fastest kind of all. No, perhaps a more suitable word to describe the werewolves were beasts.. monsters. Because of their close relationship with animals, wolves would also follow their very instincts, and these instincts were often.. bloody, hungry, and vicious. On the other hand, there were the witches and wizards, the smartest and most silent of all kinds. They were also, arguably, the closest kind to the Moon Goddess, as they would always praise her, unlike the vampires and werewolves. Last but not the least, the classic demons and angels, both equal in strength yet different in power. Demons who craved nothing but chaos and evil (allegedly), alongside angels who craved nothing but peace and good (allegedly). These creatures were, perhaps, on a higher hierarchy than vampires, wolves, and witches, seeing as demons have already achieved the victory of almost diminishing the vampire kind, easily proving that they were on another level. However, why was it so important to know these pieces of information? What good would that lead to?
Well, perhaps it would lead to an understanding of how powerful half deities really were.. because they were never mentioned. They were never part of hierarchies, or even the supernaturals, no, half deities were their own creatures, they were their own kind, separate from anything else, above anything else, and below the Moon Goddess. There weren't a lot of them, they were less than a hundred, less than fifty even, but just five of them would be enough to destroy a whole continent, not a country, a continent. All of them together though.. they could destroy the world as we know it. Thus, it was highly crucial that everyone knew of this knowledge, for just a single glance at a half deity could get your soul, not your body, but your soul killed. Then again, it depended on whether the half deity you looked at was a merciful one.
Say, for example, if you looked at Gaia, she wouldn't kill your soul. After all, she was the most well known demigoddess, almost all of the supernaturals know her as mother nature, the all-knowing being, the messenger of the Moon Goddess. She's the only half deity to have interacted with all kinds, and the only one to have two mates, she's a common favourite among the half deities. She's definitely one of a kind.
On the other hand, if you happened to look at Naia, the demigoddess of the seas, the water nymph, you'd probably be dead already. Even as water symbolised calmness and tranquility, Naia was the opposite, cold and cruel. This was why not many supernaturals knew about her, for she never showed herself, she would never leave the waters, for she has no reason to, and well, she doesn't want to.
