Third-Person POV.

"L-Little one?"

"Yes?" She smiled, a sweet smile, her bright ocean blue eyes shining brightly as she looked up at her towering mates.

As opposed to their princess' grin, the demigoddess and the succubus felt genuine horror.

Gaia's silver eyes were narrowed as she stared at Willow. She didn't say anything, no, she didn't have to, for she already felt, knew, and understood everything that has happened to their smallest mate. As a demigoddess, she was no stranger to dark magic, she knew what it was, how it worked, and surprisingly, how to use it. But she never used any of her knowledge in this forbidden magic, for she knew the consequences that came with it. She did not want to risk her life, her holiness, her kind, for something so temporary and fake. She knew better than that, of course she did. Unfortunately, she couldn't say the same thing about her Willow.

Mallory's eyes were wide as she stared at Willow. She couldn't say anything, no, she had no idea what to say, for she truly could not grasp anything that has happened to their smallest mate. As a previous hybrid and a newly turned succubus, she was a stranger to dark magic, she didn't know what it was, how it worked, and unsurprisingly, how to use it. But she never felt the need to learn more about the forbidden magic, for she felt that the consequences that came with it were dire. She did not want to risk her life, her previous mortality, her kind, for something so unknown and disastrous. She didn't know anything about that, so she never tampered with it, of course she didn't. Unfortunately, she couldn't say the same thing about her Willow.

Willow was unfazed, her eyes sparkling as she tilted her head in feigned ignorance. She had a lot to say, no, she knew she had to say something, for she understood her mates deserved an explanation. As a witch who only recently learned about dark magic, she was slightly acquainted with it, she vaguely knew what it was, how it worked, and how to use it. But nonetheless, she felt the need to learn more about it, in order to use it, for the consequences were unclear. She wanted to risk her life, her magic, her kind, for something so strong and powerful. She knew better than this, of course she did, but she didn't see any other choice. Unfortunately, she couldn't say the same thing about her mates.

"Willow.. we can still fix this, I can still try to get rid of the dark magic from yo-" Gaia started, her arms reaching out in a desperate attempt to hug her little one.

However, like a knife to the heart, Willow took a step to the side, completely avoiding Gaia's initiated contact. The princess knew her action undoubtedly wounded her demigoddess, but surprisingly, she only felt a little bit guilty, a little bit. Chuckling to herself, Willow turned around and began walking away whilst playfully singing, "I think I'll sleep for now, we've got a busy day tomorrow!"

The two dumbfounded women couldn't find the strength to follow after their mate, no, instead they stood still, their bodies frozen as their jaws dropped in absolute terror. The silver eyed woman was the first to come out of her shock as she angrily exclaimed, "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!"

Confused at the sudden change of mood in their little one, Mallory asked, "What the fuck just happened? I mean, I don't mind seeing little one so calm and joyful, but.. given everything that's happened, it's quite eerie."

"She used dark magic, she fucking used dark magic! There's no turning back, Mal, if we don't.. if she doesn't.. fuck!" Gaia began cursing repeatedly as she paced around the hallway.

"What?! What is it?!"

"Mal... Anyone who uses dark magic, anyone, dies sooner than expected. We all know death is inevitable, but dark magic only encourages it to come sooner, it.. fuck, it kills the person from within." Gaia mumbled under her breath as she ran her fingers through her hair in frustration.
