𝙵𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚍 𝙻𝚘𝚟𝚎

I asked Hayden if he wanted to go to the cinema with me and of course immediately said that it wasn't a date, but just two, well maybe friends, who wanted to watch a film together in the cinema.
He agreed and we're both sitting in the cinema. From the corner of my eye I see a woman talking to Hayden, well to me it looks like she's flirting with him, but Hayden is just being polite and talking to the woman.
Jealous and a little angry, I finish the popcorn and drink my Sprite. The woman puts her hand on Hayden's arm and whispers something in his ear, making him grin. I stand up, panting softly and saying I'm going to the bathroom a little too loudly, making Hayden and the woman jump.
I wash my hands and hear crying from one of the cubicles, when the crying stops I wait until the person comes out and when the door to the cubicle opens a beautiful blonde-haired girl with beautiful light green eyes comes out.
When she sees me she stops and her cheeks turn a little red, she smiles sadly at me and I give her a small smile.
,,Do you want to talk about it?" I ask her.
She washes her hands and takes a tissue out of the holder and puts it under the tap for a bit, then she wipes under her eyes where her mascara was smeared and looks at me.
"My boyfriend broke up with me." she says.
,,Oh I'm sorry." I say.
,,Thanks." she says. "Today of all days, which was our anniversary, he tells me that he would like to watch a movie with me, but he lets me come here not to watch a movie with me, but to break up with me." She wipes away her recurring tears. "But the worst thing is that my best friend slept with him and texted me about it. Twenty minutes ago."
Now she's sobbing and I take her in my arms, even though I'm a stranger to her, I hope she's okay with this hug because she needs it.
"Do you have someone to pick you up?" I ask.
She nods and breaks away from the hug and takes her cell phone out of her skirt pocket. "My dad is here."
We both leave the toilet and I accompany her in front of the cinema when a man gets out of a truck angrily and then comes to us, his gaze softens when he sees his daughter with red, swollen eyes.
"I'm going to kill him." he says and immediately takes his daughter in his arms, who starts crying again.
She pulls herself out of her father's embrace and looks at me.
"Thank you.." she says and I nod. "Oh, that's my father Bobby."
I shake her father's hand and he thanks me for accompanying his crying daughter downstairs. Bobby tells Trish he's waiting for her in the truck.
I rummage through my bag for a small notebook and find one, I pull it out and a pen and scribble my cell phone number on it. Then I hold out the piece of paper to the girl, who accepts it somewhat hesitantly.
"You're welcome to write to me if you want to talk." I smile.
"Thank you, Aleia." She says, I look at her a little confused, whereupon she laughs a little nervously. "You are one of my favorite authors. I'm Trish."
"I was happy, Trish, and I'm serious about writing." I say, she nods and waves at me as she gets into her dad's truck.
I turn around and see Hayden walking towards me, he looks worried and before he can say anything I speak.
"I'm fine and so is the baby." I say. "I met a girl in the toilet who was dumped by her boyfriend on their anniversary and twenty minutes later her best friend slept with him." I say, sounding angry.
Hayden looks like he wants to hug me, but he holds back, we look at each other in silence. Hayden reappearing in my life has awakened feelings in me that I tried to forget after our breakup are back.
