"As we move forward, I need you all to keep your guard up. This is the Black Forest. There are many evil creatures and monsters here if you stray too far from the main path," Iroh explained.

"Haishi, stay close to me or your A'Die," Wuxian said, "if we say so, go to your brother, do you understand?"

"Yes Baba," Haishi replied.

Wuxian looked at her and she looked a bit more scared. Of course she was scared, this was her first time out in such situations and even to see these creatures. Wuxian lifted her off the ground and carried her for the time being, "it's alright, we won't let anything happen to you," Wuxian said.

"I know," she said and hugged him tightly.

Wuxian had Suibian in his opposite hand ready to be used in case he needed it. Wangji soon took Haishi as he has fought holding a child before. Wuxian was not as experienced in that situation. Wangji was also stronger than Wuxian and would not tire fighting and holding Haishi if a fight broke out.

Though the forest was starting to darken, it didn't seem so bad yet, "Wen Ning, can you scope the area around us?" Wuxian asked.

"Of course," Wen Ning replied and rushed ahead to check things out.

"Iroh, may I ask you some questions?" Wuxian asked.

"Of course," he replied, "is it about the ghost king I mentioned before?"

"It is," Wuxian said, "why did he want to make something that eventually became uncontrollable?"

"Everyone has their reasons to do things," Iroh said, "he has a loved one. He has followed that person for over eight hundred years and never left his side."

"Eight hundred years?" Wei Wuxian asked, "so is he naturally not that bad of a person?"

"No, he wants to correct his mistakes and kill this creature he created but he needs help. He reached out to some people he knew and hoped they'd send some assistance," Iroh said, "so, Baoshan wants to meet you finally and finish your training. It will help you with meeting the ghost king and even the other immortal beings you may come across."

"You also said he knew me?" Wuxian asked.

"He does, your memory has been erased when you resurrected," Iroh said, "it usually happens to protect the souls of those spirits you once met...now that you are a bridge between the two worlds, you are to gain that memory back soon."

"So he knows of my past?" Wuxian asked.

"He does," Iroh answered, "Baoshan knows of it too."

"She isn't disappointed in me?" Wuxian asked.

"Of course not," Iroh replied, "she is actually proud of you. You stuck to your values and that is what matters."

Wuxian nodded. He had a lot of thoughts and questions on his mind but he knew that they should be saved for Baoshan herself. He was actually very anxious about meeting her. He had always wanted to meet her but it was always impossible. He heard about her having this one rule, if you are her disciple and you choose to leave her location, they cannot return. Wuxian wanted to know if she had let her parents return they would still be alive.

"A'Die, something is wrong with Baba," Haishi whispered to Wangji.

Wangji looked at Wuxian and frowned. He handed Haishi to Sizhui and asked him to watch her so he could speak with Wuxian. Wangji then hung back and started to walk beside Wuxian again, "is something on your mind?" Wangji asked.

Wuxian looked at Wangji, "I have a lot on my mind," Wuxian answered and he looked like he was close to tears.

Wangji took Wuxian's hand and brought it up to his lips to kiss it, "it will be alright, talk to me if you need to."

Wuxian nodded, "I'm just nervous about meeting her," Wuxian said, "I have known about this rule of hers. If the disciples she takes in chooses to leave, they cannot return. I always wondered if she had allowed my mother back if my parents would be alive."

Lan Wangji nodded as he could feel his husband's confusion and pain. He tightened his grip on Wuxian's hand slightly but not too much as to not crush his hand. Wuxian could feel the comfort Wangji was doing his utmost to pass over. Wangji then turned and pulled him into a hug, placing a kiss on his forehead, "perhaps she has a reason for what she does. Everything that has happened cannot be redone. All we can do is move forward," Wangji said.

"I know," Wuxian said, "I love you."

"I love you too," Wangji replied.

They then continued forward. The group had passed a couple monsters and ghouls through the Black Forest. It took them approximately three days to get through the forest. Once they were in a safe place, there was a good spot to set up camp again to rest after that three day trek through the forest. While the group was setting up, Wangji took Wuxian and pulled him to a private place where they could have a moment.

Wuxian removed his trousers from under his robes and all Wangji had to do was move his robes aside and he could take Wuxian up against a large tree. They placed a privacy barrier over themselves to keep others from finding them for a little while. Wangji opened Wuxian's robes and latched his mouth to Wuxian's shoulder. Wuxian was in a state of bliss. He really needed this moment with his husband. It was a good distraction from his chaotic mind for a while.

"Oh, Lan Zhan," Wuxian moaned, "so good, Lan Zhan!"

Wuxian was wrapped around Wangji, Wangji had his left arm hooked under Wuxian to hold him up but as they leaned against the tree, he didn't have to worry too much. His other hand reached down and gripped into Wuxian's cock. As Wangji continued his controlled, deep, thrusts, he started to gently stroke Wuxian. It stimulated Wuxian more and it only intensified his pleasure.

"Told you, we would find time for this," Wangji gritted out through clenched teeth.

"Good," Wuxian said, "I am glad. It is a good distraction."

Wangji smiled and with one final deep plunge, he released. Wuxian followed suit. The two kissed through panting breaths and rested for a little bit. The two did go for another round or two before they felt satisfied enough to go back to the others.
