~*Wei Wuxian's POV*~

The world around me was cold and desolate. Everything was tinted in a blue light, which only made it all seem more cold. No matter the direction, it was all sand. There was no sign of life anywhere. Why was I brought here specifically?

I looked to the sky and my eyes widened. A visual display showed of my time during the first half of my life. It only repeated the horrible memories that I longed to forget. The nights I was alone on the streets, hiding within empty crates or boxes just to get away from the creatures of the night. I remembered starving. I remembered the bites I got from wild dogs. I shuttered at the image once but it didn't seem to bother me as much anymore.

My time at Lotus Pier...the envy and loathing I saw on Madam Yu's face anytime she saw me. I noticed Jiang Cheng having that same expression on several occasions. I would watch Shijie stay up late into the night just to cook for me so she knows I have eaten, and even taken care of any injuries I have gained during the day. She was the first one to notice her mother's mistreatment towards me. She wished to help me more but she always said herself to be weak. No matter who tried to stand up to Madam Yu, no one would ever win.

My time in Cloud Recesses the first time I ever stepped foot into that place. I did not know it then, but I fell in love that day. Maybe I didn't know that meaning back then, and I just thought I was mesmerized by such a beautiful person. I didn't care if they were a man either. I just felt a connection. He was not easy to talk to. He was definitely not easy to read at the time. I do have good knowledge of reading the man now. Any micro-expression he had I knew where his mind was.

The memories began to get worse and worse from there. Seeing my world fall apart so fast was hard to fathom. I went through it all and I am still okay. I keep reminding myself that I am better than I have ever been. That I have a husband that loves me and would always protect me. I have two amazing children that are just too sweet for words. Then there was the disciples that Lan Zhan and I now taught.

These memories were trying to break me again but I didn't allow it. I began to realize that I have started to move forward. I was no longer having to worry about what happened to me.

I spoke out to whoever was trying to make my world crumble, "if you are trying to break me again, it will not work!"

A dark laugh sounded. I didn't see anyone and I could see for miles each direction I looked. So this being was invisible to the eye and liked trying to make a person relive their worst moments, "that is alright, in time you will fall back into your own doom," a deep male voice said.

"I won't allow that!" I shouted, "why did you bring me here?"

"To show you my work," the voice said, "this used to be filled with wandering souls who had yet to pass over. They became such a delicious meal."

"So, you are the thing causing all this nonsense," I said, "why do you keep doing this? You were created for a purpose and now that purpose is fulfilled, you run havoc in the spirit world killing off souls. Those souls will never have a chance at peace now."

"It upsets you, so I will keep going," the voice said, "your partner is waiting for you, bye for now."

And just like that, I was shoved out of the spirit world and my meditation was completely interrupted. Once my eyes opened, Lan Zhan was sitting beside me, holding my hand. He looked worried, "I didn't see it but it spoke to me," I said, "that creature eating souls...it's not going to be easy to stop it."

"It said something to you?" He asked.

"I asked him to stop and why he keeps doing this," I answered, "it just wants to make us more angry. It's like it's gaining strength from our anger."

"It will keep killing souls until we deal with it," Lan Zhan said.

I nodded, "afraid so."

"Are you feeling okay?" He asked.

I nodded, "I am," I replied, "we should gather everyone and get going. I am guessing we don't have that much more to travel. I'm sure Baoshan is patiently waiting for us."

"Mnn," he nodded.

I smiled. Before he could even get up, I moved quickly to straddle his lap and held his face in my hands, "perhaps we could let them wait just a few more minutes. I'm sure Er-Gege can be quick," I said.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and growled. His lips collided with mine as he rolls us over. We were on the floor and he had me pinned down underneath him. With a wave of his hand, there was a privacy barrier placed around the room and it also locked the door.

My robes were ripped open and Lan Zhan's hands began to roam. I let out a soft moan. His touch will always be the best feeling in the world to me. I couldn't wait long so I removed my own trousers. Lan Zhan's lips moved to my neck and throat. One hand slid down between my legs and began to probe a certain spot. I shuttered at the feeling and only spread my legs further open.

"Good boy," Lan Zhan said, "you submit easy."

"I just want you badly," I told him.

"Oh," he said and shoved a second finger into me. I felt them curl towards a spot within and he began to tease it, "how badly?"

"Er-Gege!" I moaned. My body began to follow those fingers, hoping it would help with getting that feeling inside me to intensify.

I felt his fingers leave my body and was replaced by something much bigger. He was only half way in when I wrapped my legs around him and forced him to push all the way inside. I let out a loud moan as he filled me up. I felt him swerve his hips, teasing me more.

"Make me scream, Er-Gege!" I said, "take me harder."

Lan Zhan smiled down at me with a devious smile. Within the next moment, he slammed his hips forward then pulled back and slammed again. Just like I asked, he made me beg and scream for me. Thank goodness for the privacy charm or the entire neighborhood would have heard us.
