Wei Wuxian was able to go outside to get some fresh air. He went back to where Wangji kept his rabbits. Wuxian liked the peaceful atmosphere where the little fluff balls were. Thinking back, two bunnies were a gift to Wangji from Wuxian and two became a dozen in a matter of a few months. Wuxian laid back upon the grass and closed his eyes as he felt very relaxed. The little bunnies cuddled around him. A couple even hopped on his chest and stomach and just laid there.

Lan Wangji was in a meeting all morning with Lan Qiren and Lan Xichen. Lan Xichen was planning a conference meeting as one was due to happen. It will also be the first conference meeting where Wei Wuxian will be present again. Luckily the conference meeting was held there in Cloud Recesses as it would keep things peaceful...hopefully.

While Wuxian was over by the bunnies, he suddenly woke from his nap when he started hearing a voice. It was like he was being called to where the voice was. Wuxian smiled as he carefully moved the bunnies off him and got up, "I'll be back soon," Wuxian promised them.

The bunnies seemed to have understood and let Wuxian on with his day. Wuxian then started to follow the sound of the voice until he reached the ancestral hall of the Sect. He didn't know if he should enter as he wasn't one hundred percent sure what his status was in the sect yet, but he stood outside the door of the ancestral hall and saw an elderly man in Gusu Lan robes. Wuxian has seen most of the elders in the sect so far so he didn't know who it was that he was seeing. Wuxian was about to go in to introduce himself when he was stopped.

"Wei Ying?" Wangji called out. Lan Xichen and Lan Qiren were with him, "what are you doing over here?"

"I heard someone calling for me and the voice led me here. There is an elder inside I do not recognize," Wuxian pointed out.

The three Lans looked inside to see the hall empty, "there is no one there," Lan Xichen told him.

"Yes there is, he looks older, he is bald but has facial hair like Grandmaster Lan and he has those prayer beads in his hand. His robes are Gusu Lan robes but they look more...old fashioned," Wuxian explained.

Lan Qiren was starting to wonder if Wuxian could see spirits, "does the person look more translucent or more natural like a real form?"

Wuxian took another good look at the man, "he's got a translucent hue to him and has a blue shimmer radiating from him," Wuxian said, "am I seeing a spirit?"

"That is my guess, if the voice called for you, this spirit must want your attention," Lan Qiren said.

Wuxian nodded, "is it alright if I enter?"

"Of course, you can come here whenever you like. We were actually going to ask you if you wanted memorial tablets for your parents set here?" Lan Qiren asked.

"You would do that?" Wuxian asked, "my father used to live in Lotus Pier and he didn't even have a memorial tablet there. Madam Yu didn't want someone like my father on their ancestral shrine. Saying it was disrespectful to their own ancestors."

"Well, we are not Madam Yu and we are not Lotus Pier," Lan Qiren stated, "we are willing to add your parents to our shrine because you are to become a part of our family. You are marrying Wangji, are you not?"

Wuxian nodded and smiled, "I appreciate it," he said and entered the ancestral hall. Lan Qiren, Lan Xichen, and Lan Wangji decided to follow him inside. Wuxian bowed to the elder out of respect, "hello, can you hear me?"

"I can hear you young master," the man said calmly, "and you do not have to be afraid or worry. I am a friend and mean no harm."

"May I ask for your name?" Wuxian asked, "my name is Wei Wuxian."

"I know who you are, you are Baoshan Sanren's grandson," the man said and looked at him, "my name is Lan An."

Wuxian was a bit stunned, "Lan An? The founder of the Lan Sect?" The other three were now shocked to hear that Lan An was the spirit Wuxian was speaking with.

"It is," Lan An said, "and I have been very impressed by you. As I have been living amongst spirits for a long time now, they all speak kindly of you. Saying you never wish to misuse them. I was once like you but kept my Yin half a secret. You used to cultivate Yin and Yang but since you have no core, you are pure Yin energy. I am willing to tell you that there is a way to gain your core back, but it won't be easy."

"I don't need easy, I just need possible," Wuxian said. Lan Wangji, Lan Xichen, and Lan Qiren exchanged a look as they didn't know what to expect. They were basically listening to a one sided conversation as they couldn't hear the spirit of Lan An speak.

"Well, you will need to allow our people here in Cloud Recesses help you. Inside our sacred cold cave, there is a secret passage that leads to a cultivation chamber. There you would spend the next several weeks in that space for secluded meditation. My descendant, Lan Qiren will more than likely help you...plus your partner gave you his forehead ribbon, correct?"

Wuxian lifted his left arm and showed the ribbon on his arm, "yes," Lan Xichen and Lan Qiren glanced at the ribbon and then at Wangji who was a bit flushed upon seeing the ribbon. The two men grinned and will talk about it with him and Wuxian later.

"That will protect you inside the cave. You will meet me in that secluded area in the cave at the end of the week. Have the healers give you a core strengthening tonic that they give to those who have been through or are close to Qi Deviations. Take that the night before you go to the secluded area. I will then be there to help you through the rest. I must go for now but we will see each other again if you choose to go through with this," Lan An explained.

"Thank you," Wuxian said and bowed.

"Of course, you are my best friend's grandson, it would be great to work with you," Lan An said.

Wuxian nodded and said his goodbyes to him. He then turned to the others, "want to go sit down somewhere more private so we can talk?" Wuxian asked, "I will explain everything then."

The others nodded. They are very curious as to what the two spoke of.
