Wei Wuxian was curious as to what Wangji wanted to talk to his uncle and brother about but he didn't want to interfere if it was something private. So when he returned to the Jingshi and relaxed on the bed for a bit. Wuxian took out Chenqing and, at first, just twirled it around but then he decided to play Wangxian, as he finally knew the name of the song. He was so into his playing that he didn't even notice Wangji entering with his brother trailing behind him.
Wangji grinned and looked at his brother. He motioned Xichen to sit down at the table and Wangji would prepare tea for them. Wangji also had to start brewing Wuxian's tonic soon anyway so it was also a good opportunity to do so. The two were minding their own business when they finally heard Wuxian stop playing.
"Ugh, you could have stopped me," Wuxian said shyly.
"No need, you play very well," Xichen told him, "we just got here anyway."
"Oh," Wuxian said and went to sit with them, "ugh, thanks."
"How are you feeling?" Xichen asked.
"I am a bit tired but that's just because of all the medicine you people have me take," Wuxian replied.
"Wei Ying, would you like me to have Lingyun make something stronger?" Wangji asked as he could sense some sass coming from Wuxian.
Wuxian cleared his throat, "no need."
"Or I can go with the other option," Wangji told him.
"What other option?" Xichen asked.
"Send Wei Ying some spiritual energy a few times a day," Wangji replied.
"I said there is no need for that," Wuxian said, "you are already doing enough with getting me treated, I don't want you to waste your energy on me. I do not need it."
Wangji looked at such at him straight in the eyes, "waste my energy?" He asked, "why would I be wasting it if I am helping you?"
"I just don't want you to, okay," Wuxian said and stormed out of the room to the backyard.
Wangji sighed and looked at his brother, "sorry, it's something I am trying to get him to talk to me about. It's not easy."
"I know," Xichen said, "in this situation, I think you should let him be with the medicine. He might have his reasons for not wanting you to do that for him."
"He goes above and beyond to help other people but when it comes to himself, he declines it," Wangji said, "I do not understand why."
"He was grown up to believe he had little value. Do you honestly think it's easy for him to just accept all this all at once when he had a rough life with the Jiangs and then after he did not have it easy. Getting any sort of care is new to him. Just try to be patient and try to listen to him," Xichen said.
Wangji nodded. Lan Xichen soon left and Wangji went outside to try and talk with Wuxian again. Wuxian was sitting underneath a large tree in the back yard of the Jingshi. Wuxian was leaning against the large truck and his eyes were closed as if he were meditating. Wangji sighed as he tried to approach him.
"Wei Ying, can we talk?" Wangji asked.
Wuxian opened his eyes and looked up at him, "sure."
Wangji sat beside him, "I am sorry I upset you. I guess I am still trying to understand some things about you. Why do you not like others helping you?"
"It's not something that usually happens to me, so when it's offered, I just close up," Wuxian replied, "anytime I got hurt I kept it to myself. I was whipped a lot by Madam Yu and was not allowed to get treated afterwards. I had to deal with getting beaten by Wen Chao and I endured it. I lost everything and I endured it. When I was resurrected, I questioned almost every day for a few weeks as to why he did it."
"Wei Ying, I know it's hard and new but will you please just try to learn to trust me?" Wangji asked.
"Lan Zhan, I trust you more than I trust anyone else," Wuxian told him, "I just don't think it's worth the hassle of helping me."
"Wei Ying, I will help you through anything and everything," Wangji said, "I want you to know that I love you and I look forward to spending forever with you. You and I will learn to adjust."
Wuxian blushed, "I..." he cleared his throat, "I love you too," he said and soon was straddling Wangji's lap, "I look forward to forever with you too."
Wangji smiled and placed his right hand on the back of Wuxian's neck and pulled him in to kiss him. Wuxian melted into Wangji's embrace and wrapped his arms around his neck. Wuxian was savoring Wangji's lips, and enjoying his comfort. The world around them ceased to exist and it was as if it was just the two of them. The kiss gradually became more intense. Lan Wangji took control and explored every corner of Wei Wuxian's mouth. Wei Wuxian clung to Lan Wangi as a weird sensation was tracing down Wei Wuxian's spine and settling just below his stomach. The kiss was just so domineering.
Wuxian pulled away as he was lacking air. The kiss took his breath away. Wangji and Wuxian's intimacy was so intense that it caused them to get so lost in it and even forget the basics such as breathing. So the two took a good moment just to gather their breath and calm down. Wuxian couldn't help but giggle and move off Wangji's lap and sat beside him.
"What is so funny?" Wangji asked.
"I just find this all so serial," Wuxian said, "it was like only yesterday you told me to get lost at the library pavilion and now I am sitting here, making out with you, and engaged to you."
Wangji grinned, "You were quite mischievous back then."
"Did you want me to be mischievous again?" Wuxian asked.
"I am content with how you are now," Wangji said.
"Okay," Wuxian said and placed a kiss on Wangji's jaw before resting his head on Wangji's shoulder. Wangji wrapped his arm behind Wuxian and around his waist, holding him close. The two had a lot of things to talk about and adjust to, but it will take time.
Later that night, Wuxian was to take a core strengthening tonic. He was going to be going into seclusion in the morning. Wuxian and Wangji had a nice dinner together and shortly after, Lingyun arrived with the tonic.
"I must warn you, it is very bitter and you may feel as if you are going through an adrenaline rush for at least five minutes before it calms down. Once you get to seclusion tomorrow I am sure you'd be doing some meditation which is required. I'm sure you will have guidance through that though," Lingyun said and handed Wuxian the tonic.
"Do you have a sugar cube or something? Candy maybe?" Wuxian asked.
"I do, do not worry," Lingyun replied. Wuxian sighed and drank the tonic in one gulp. Lingyun handed Wuxian the piece of candy and went on his way.
Wangji sat with Wuxian on the bed and helped him relax if he needed it. Wuxian was definitely feeling the effects of the tonic. His body was shaking and sweating as if he was going through withdrawals. He went through something similar when he cut cold turkey from drinking alcohol. It was definitely not the best experience. He was now experiencing something similar to that again with this tonic. He could even feel his spiritual veins heating up slightly. Wangji helped by passing over some spiritual energy which helped calm the side effects down a bit. Wuxian was grateful for Wangji being there to help him through it.
