For most of the afternoon, Wuxian and Wangji ran through some drills with their disciples. They seem to be doing well even though they endured a long trip. Wuxian had a lot on his mind though and was constantly distracted through the day. Seeing his grandmother and seeing the small appearance change in Haishi. There is also the fact that there is a monster out there hunting souls.

"Want some help?" Xie Lian asked as he walked over. He couldn't help but be interested in the disciples.

"If you want to," Wuxian said, "any suggestions?"

"Well, as someone who was trained under a good master and then Jun Wu before knowing who he really was, I do enjoy helping young ones train. I like seeing all the potential they have," Xie Lian said.

"Hua Cheng told me all you went through. I can't imagine how difficult that was. Here I thought I had it bad," Wuxian said.

"Everyone has their own trials to go through," Xie Lian told him, "some more difficult than others but I have long come to terms with what happened to me and it changed me but also it didn't. I'm still the person I wanted to be when I was young but with more experience."

"What was your purpose when you were younger?" Wuxian asked.

"I wanted to save the common people," Xie Lian said, "there was a time where I thought I had to save everyone but even if it's just one person, it still makes a difference. I once said body in the abyss, heart in paradise. So even though the body suffered the heart remains pure."

Wuxian nodded, "it also helps when you have the best support as well."

"That is true," Xie Lian said, "I am glad I have San Lang in my life. I'm sure you know how it is when you have that special someone too?"

Wuxian nodded and smiled as he looked at Wangji who was adjusting Lan Rong's shoulders during his drills. Wangji noticed eyes on him and looked over and Wuxian. He grinned and went to him, "What is it?" He asked.

"I also know that I have the best person in the world," Wuxisn said to Xie Lian but never moved his eyes from Wangji.

"Xie Lian, can you watch over the disciples for a moment?" Wangji asked.

Xie Lian smiled, "of course."

With that, Wangji picked Wuxian up and hurled him over his shoulder. He then took Wuxian to their room. Their room had silented walls so that noise doesn't disturb others. The moment the two entered the room, they got lost in each other for the rest of the afternoon.

As for Baoshan, she was looking into the blood sample she got from Haishi. She processed it and she was surprised on what he learned. There was a bloodline of pure magic. It comes from celestial beings. Two celestial beings conceived a child. A child born from a god and goddess. Which means she was currently considered as an angel and when she reaches a certain age and level in her training she will ascend to a goddess.

Angels were rare beings, and Baoshan wondered how such a child ended up under Wangji and Wuxian's care. Better yet, how did she end up in Cloud Recesses?

Baoshan was the best person when it came to Haishi's training. She has trained other celestial beings and she believes Haishi was meant for big things. She needed to not only tell Wangji and Wuxian, but perhaps Xie Lian and Hua Cheng. A child as valuable as Haishi, she could be the key to a better future.

So once Baoshan found out about this, she immediately went to find Wuxian and Wangji. Only to find out the two were locked in their room at the moment. Baoshan couldn't help but laugh. She decided to wait on that and spend time with Haishi herself. So much power in the body of a child. She needed to be protected. If anyone found out about this and Haishi ended up in the wrong hands, Haishi could become tainted. It will be very hard to bring her back down to the right path.

"What are you doing sweetheart?" Baoshan asked Haishi.

Haishi was currently watching Wangji and Wuxian's disciples practicing drills, "just watching," she answered.

"Did you know even though you are so young, you can still learn self defense?" Baoshan asked her.

"Really, you would teach me?" Haishi asked.

"Of course," Baoshan said, "let me teach you."

"Okay, when?" Haishi asked excitedly.

"How about now?" Baoshan asked, "there are some hand to hand skills you can learn or I can teach you how to use a bow, or even fan martial arts."

"Can I learn all of it?" Haishi asked.

Baoshan giggled, "of course, how about we start off with a bow. It will teach you accuracy, patience, precision, and it's easy for a child to learn this young."

"Okay, my Baba and A'Die are both good with a bow. I want to be too," Haishi said.

"All it takes is practice," Baoshan said and lead her to the archery grounds.

Baoshan first taught Haishi how to properly hold a bow and nock an arrow. She then taught her how to aim she shoot. It took Haishi some time to figure out how to do it, but she learned fast. By the time Wangji and Wuxian were done with their business, Haishi could shoot bullseyes.

"Not bad," Wuxian said.

"Your daughter is very talented," Baoshan said as she went to Wuxian, "I also found out her origins, which makes me ask more questions but for now, you two need to protect her with your lives. I am helping you two become immortals to do that."

"What did you find out?" Wuxian asked.

"Haishi is the daughter of celestial beings, meaning her father and mother are both gods. Her current status is an angel. She will ascend the more she trains. Gods level up in different ways and those born like Haishi, are the purest of gods. She has a very special future and you two need to prepare for that," Baoshan said.

"I see," Wuxian said and looked at Wangji, "but how would a child of gods be in Cloud Recesses?"

"Maybe because something happened and Haishi's real parents thought that Cloud Recesses was a safe place to place her," Wangji said.

Wuxian nodded, "I think Xie Lian and Hua Cheng should know. Xie Lian will be able to look more into it maybe."

"I think you are right," Wangji said.
