Hua Cheng took a few minutes to go back to Ghost City. Since he had Yin Yu back, Hua Cheng had him looking into the creature. Yin Yu was now a wrath ghost due to him dying by Jun Wu's hand. He was nurtured and he was reborn. This creature was finally given a proper name as Hua Cheng didn't want to keep calling it creature, now it goes by, Tan Lan, named after the God of Greed. Hua Cheng found it suitable.

Yin Yu hasn't had any luck finding Tan Lan but he found that more spirits have disappeared. Ghost City has been declining in population, and it wasn't good. Whether a spirit wants to move on or not was their choice but what isn't their choice was to be eaten and torn about to never be reborn again. Hua Cheng created Tan Lan just to help protect Xie Lian in one of his missions and now that Xie Lian was back safely, Tan Lan has gone out of control.

Noticing that Hua Cheng had disappeared from Baoshan's Mountain, Xie Lian went to visit him. He found Hua Cheng at Thousand Lights Temple. This temple was built by Hua Cheng and every year Hua Cheng sets of three thousand lanterns for Xie Lian.

Thousand Lights Temple is extremely beautiful, and beautifully constructed with divine craftsmanship and artistry. As the name implies, it seems to be adorned with thousands of lights, a contrast to the dark, vivid crimson scenery of the Ghost Realm. The paths are paved with jaded stones and have the words "Thousand Lights Temple" engraved on them. The interior is wide and open, but despite being a temple, it does not have a divine statue, cushions for worshipers or an establishment plaque.

"San Lang?" Xie Lian called out.

"Gege," Hua Cheng replied as he was sitting on the alter table.

"I was wondering where you went," Xie Lian told him, "why did you leave?"

"Needed to check on things here," Hua Cheng said.

Xie Lian sighed, "you have been more withdrawn from me than usual," he pointed out, "I know it's about Tan Lan and it's okay. You did not know that this would happen."

"I know, but what if Tan Lan finds someone who was close to Wuxian or his family?" Hua Cheng asked.

"We will figure it out," Xie Lian said. He saw that ink and parchment have been set up, "it has been awhile."

"Gege, I am in no mood to practice," Hua Cheng said.

Xie Lian smiled and crawled into his lap, "When was the last time I let you worship me on this alter?" He asked.

"It's been a little while...it's been a little while in general actually," Hua Cheng said, "Gege, you owe me."

"If you weren't so tormenting all the time," Xie Lian protested.

"Will you let me do so now?" Hua Cheng asked.

Xie Lian blushed and nodded. Hua Cheng didn't need any further confirmation as he pulled Xie Lian closer in and kissed him. With a wave of his hand, the doors of the temple were closed and not a single person would be allowed in. Hua Cheng carefully rolled them over and opened Xie Lian's robes. Hua Cheng knows Xie Lian so well that it doesn't take long for Xie Lian to feel comfortable and stimulated.

After the both of them were stripped completely, Hua Cheng's outer robe was spread under them to keep them off the cool surface.

Every single touch, every little small detail of desire that Hua Cheng held for Xie Lian, his movements were well controlled. Xie Lian would always feel like he was going to explode with heat. Hua Cheng's touch may be cold due to being a ghost but it felt hot instead.

Xie Lian quivered and writhed as pleasure continued to build. The reason it always took Xie Lian some time to get back into bed like this with Hua Cheng, is because of how intense it can get. Xie Lian loses himself completely as Hua Cheng enjoyed watching his Gege get lost underneath him. Each thrust was deep but Hua Cheng also was very accurate as to where Xie Lian's sweet spot(s) is.

For now, they would not be scene for at least another day or two.

Wuxian and Wangji however, spent more time together training now that they were immortal and have an idea on what their abilities were. After training for two hours, they called it a day and had lunch before they went to focus on their disciples for a couple hours.

"I notice my grandmother has been training you, along with Xie Lian," Wuxian said, "I want to see what you have learned from them as you try out my maze again. And yes, I did bring the talisman to set it up."

The five sighed and got into position while Wuxian set it up. The two stood up on a high platform to watch the disciples work together, "they seem better this time," Wangji said.

"That's because they don't have Baihu," Wuxian said.

"Until Haishi is old enough, we still need to fill in that remaining spot," Wangji said.

"I know but I think Haishi should take the spot even though she is only four. She already has good self-defense skills and she can use a bow. Wai Po is helping her with her abilities as we speak," Wuxian said, "I think we need to consider it, or we still take her and we have seven students and still take in another one."

"I am okay with the five we have and no one is really standing out back home," Wangji said, "we can see how Haishi is doing with her training before we make any final decisions."

"If it is something we really are considering, we should ask the other disciples what they think at least," Wuxian suggested.

"We can talk to them about it when we know more about Haishi's training," Wangji told him.

"Alright," Wuxian said and sighed, "A'Rong, be careful, the traps are different this time. I made sure the maze is different every time it's in use."

"Yes Masted Wei," Lan Rong replied. Lan Rong almost got stuck in a spirit trapping net. Luckily Sizhui pulled him away in time.

"Sizhui has good leadership skills," Wuxian said, "you taught him well."

Wangji smiled, "we did."

Wuxian giggled, "I didn't get to teach him as much as I wanted to when he was younger but now that I am here, I am glad to share what I know."

"You still did well," Wangji said.

Wuxian nodded.

"Well what is this?" Baoshan asked as she and Haishi stepped onto the platform, "what have you done to my training field?"

"It's a talisman I created that sets up a maze for the disciples to go through. It teaches them about teamwork and unexpected situations. The maze can easily be removed as well so it is alright," Wuxian assured her.

"This is impressive," Baoshan said.

"We wanted to see how their training has been since we have been busy," Wuxian said.

"They have been doing well, and from the looks of it, they do need more practice in a setting like this," Baoshan pointed out, "they seem to be lacking in that."

"It's something new for them. Night hunts are not too common in Cloud Recesses so this is a good alternative," Wuxian said.

"I suppose it does help them gain some experience but they need real world experiences too," Baoshan said.

"I'm sure they will get that soon," Wuxian said.

"That they will," Baoshan agreed.
