It had been an overwhelming morning so far, and it was still not over yet. Wei Wuxian's mind was all over the place. With the new workshop he was given, he was already feeling blessed but he has yet to feel like he deserved it. Now Wangji had told him there was more things for him to see at the Jingshi. He didn't know how much more he could take before he passed out from how overwhelming it was.

"Lan Zhan, you may have to make sure you are nearby me when we get inside," Wuxian warned, "I do not know what you planned but I know that if it's a lot, I might pass out from shock. This is a lot to take in and it's still morning."

"I will catch you if you fall," Wangji said, "it's not much compared to your new workshop."

Wuxian nodded. Wangji was holding his hand but now he moved to have his arm around Wuxian's waist. He was able to help keep Wuxian steady, "also, after I know what it is, I might actually rest for a bit. Even though I was in seclusion for so long, I still feel like I could use some sleep."

"Of course," Wangji said, "whatever Wei Ying wants."

Wuxian looked up at Wangji, "ahh?"

"I said whatever Wei Ying wants," Wangji repeated.

"Right," Wuxian said. He really didn't know what to say about that. Since when was he ever given the opportunity to want something?

Once the two reached the Jingshi, Wangji let Wuxian enter first. Wuxian immediately saw the new sword stand and a space next to it to place Chenqing, "these are for me?" He asked.

"Mnn, you need a place for them," Wangji said.

Wuxian smiled and put Suibian and Chenqing in their new spaces, "it's perfect, thank you," Wuxian said.

"You know there is more, right?" Wangji informed.

"More?" Wuxian questioned.

Wangji nodded and had Wuxian look around. Wuxian immediately spotted the new desk and ceramics for tea and his wine. He saw the new custom made brushes that Wangji had bought for him. He saw there was some books and scrolls in his desk just on his interests like charms, talismans, and weapons.

Wuxian looked around more and he saw that the wardrobe had expanded. He went over and checked inside. He then saw his new robes. The light blues, dark blues, blacks, and some whites. There was a place that had new headgear and ornaments for him. Those new ornaments will showcase that he was Lan Wangji's husband, or second master Lan's spouse. There was even a new Jade token for him to take.

Wuxian turned to Wangji, "this is all just..." he didn't know what to say.

"It's alright, you don't have to say anything if it's too much," Wangji said as he walked over to him and wrapped his arms around his waist, "I know you like them and appreciate them."

"Lan Zhan, this is all just so much at once," Wuxian said, "I know you said I don't need to but I will anyway. Thank you for all this...it's just I have to learn to accept all this. I always felt underserving of all these things and now I have access to it. I don't know how to react or even understand how to accept these properly."

"I know," Wangji said, "but with time you will be better at it. This is your home, Wei Ying. I sat down with Shufu and Xiongzhang and we talked about a lot of things for a while. We want to make sure you are comfortable and accepted here. Out of everyone in the world, us three know the real you. We will protect and defend you, Wei Ying. This is family, and this sect is also your family."

"Lan Zhan..." Wuxian whispered and wrapped his arms around his neck. He then shoved his face between his arm and Wangji's neck and just started crying.

Wangji carefully lifted Wuxian off the ground like a bride and carried him over to the bedroom. Wangji sat down on the bed with him and held him tightly for a while. He knows this is a lot for Wei Wuxian but he was going to help him adjust and accept his new life. Wangji knows there are still many people out there who hold grudges against Wei Wuxian even though it was never Wei Wuxian who caused the issues. Even after finding the real culprits, people still point their fingers at Wuxian. There were even people who believe Jin Guangyao was innocent and are wanting to take revenge on Wuxian for that. Wangji wasn't going to let those people get near Wuxian to even consider hurting him.

One of Wangji's biggest wishes is to removed that horrible name people call him all the time...the Yiling Patriarch. Wangji wanted that name to disappear as it was just a name that made Wei Wuxian seem like a monster. Wei Wuxian was not a monster. If Wangji wanted to get technical, monsters were classified as non-human, non-living objects. They are inanimate objects that have developed consciousness. So in other words, calling Wei Wuxian a monster was basically saying he wasn't human. It infuriates Wangji a lot. He hates that Wuxian is still mistreated even after clearing his name.

Wangji also had yet to talk to Wuxian about Jiang Wanyin. He requested not only to see him at least once, but he also wanted to attend their wedding. Wangji had held a grudge against Jiang Wanyin for a long time. Before the mess with Wei Wuxian happened, Wangji couldn't care less about him. He barely paid him any mind. After the incident at Nightless City, and Jiang Wanyin causing Wuxian's final demise, Wangji soon began to hate the man.

Now, he has to deal with him potentially being back in Wei Wuxian's life. Wangji would put up with it for Wuxian's sake of course. No matter how much the Jiangs' have screwed Wuxian over, Wuxian still finds a way to care for them. Wangji can understand his care for Jin Ling as Wangji never had anything against Wuxian's Shijie. In fact, Wangji wished she could have gotten to know her as she was the one person that knew Wei Wuxian most. Plus the way Wuxian always spoke of her, was like a child dotting on their mother.

Wuxian ended up falling asleep as he expected to. That morning was just so much to handle. Wangji was also not in the mood to move away from Wuxian either. So, he summoned a book over from his desk across the room and read for a while, as his Wei Ying got some beauty sleep.
