"Alright, Ducklings," Wuxian said as class began, "Hanguang Jun and I have an announcement to make before we officially start class today."

Lan Rong raised his hand, "why do you call us ducklings?" He asked.

"Because I can," Wuxian said, "now, as you know, Hanguang Jun and I will be leaving in a few days and we aren't exactly sure when we will return. We have permission to allow you all to come with us, but that also means we need permission from your parents. If you don't have permission from them, we will work out some things with you and Zewu Jun as he agreed to take over for anyone who isn't allow to come. Biyu, your situation is a bit different so you have the opportunity to choose for yourself...any questions?"

"Where exactly would we go so we know what to talk to our parents about?" Lan Chuanli asked.

"We will be traveling to visit my grandmother for additional training," Wuxian replied.

"Your grandmother?" Lan Baihu questioned, "no offense but I thought you didn't have any living relatives."

Wuxian grinned, "oh, that is where you are wrong, my grandmother is known to be a very famous and important figure. So I hope you are careful with your words around her."

"Who is that?" Baihu questioned.

"Baoshan Sanren," Wuxian answered, "if you want to keep questioning my ancestry, you can always do so while writing....you are treading on some thin ice Baihu. Watch the attitude."

"Sorry Master Wei," he said.

"Anyone else want to questioned Wei Ying?" Wangji asked. The class was silent, "okay, you all should have studied the material from the last lecture well so you have a quiz today. Take out parchment and ink."

The disciples sighed, "is something wrong?" Wuxian asked, "would you all rather write lines instead? You all seem to be acting as if we won't punish you if you are out of line. Have you forgotten what Hanguang Jun's original job is?"

As they know Wangji for being head of disciplines, it seemed to have gotten the disciples to fall in line. They did as they were told and took their quiz quietly. Wuxian sat down at his personal desk and began going over the activity plans. Since they will be traveling soon, he wanted to test the disciples on night hunts more. He has Wen Ning waiting for them at the training grounds.

Wuxian motioned Wangji to his side, "hmm?"

"I should go set up the training grounds," Wuxian whispered.

"Mnn, will see you there shortly," Wangji said.

Wuxian took Wangji's hand and kissed the back of it, "don't make me wait too long," he said.

Wangji smiled back and rubbed the back of his finger against Wuxian's nose, "depends on them," he said.

Wuxian giggled and pecked Wangji on the lips before leaving for the training grounds. Wen Ning was there waiting as he said he would, "Wei Ge," he greeted with a smile.

"Hello A'Ning," Wuxian replied, "ready for some fun today?"

"I am," he said, "whatever you need I am here."

"Since we will be traveling in a couple days, I want to get these disciples prepared for what we might come across," Wuxian said.

"When I was taking Sizhui to Qishan to work on our family shrine, we noticed there were still some fierce corpses still lingering around," Wen Ning said.

"I can handle those if need be, but when it comes to night hunts and resentful energy and monsters, these disciples are inexperienced, except for Sizhui and Jingyi. Biyu is going to continue with her healing practices so I was wondering if you'd help her in that?" Wuxian said.

"Of course, I am glad she wants to keep me A'Jie's medical practices alive," Wen Ning said, "I will help her with what I can. I learned from A'Jie and I can still reach her if I need help."

"You can?" Wuxian asked.

"Just like you, I am linked to the spirit world," Wen Ning said, "I can probably help you with being on that side if it ever came to it."

"There might be a time where we will have to, but I don't want to worry Lan Zhan. We should do what we can to avoid that," Wuxian said.

"There are some things that are hard to avoid," Wen Ning said.

"I am very well aware of that," Wuxian said, "but hey, at least we can travel again. It's been a while and I miss it."

"Me too," Wen Ning said, "speaking of Hanguang Jun, it's odd seeing you two apart nowadays."

Wuxian smiled, "the disciples are taking a small quiz. Lan Zhan is with them and will bring them when they finish."

"Oh," Wen Ning nodded.

While the two waited, Wuxian used talismans to alter the terrain, creating a maze within the training field. Wuxian has Wen Ning using his energy to create monsters and other resentful creatures. The disciples will have to make their way through the maze to the other side. If they come across a creature, they use their skills they learned to deal with them. It was also an exercise on working together. It will be interesting to see six disciples work together to get through the maze.

"This looks impressive," Zewu Jun said as he stopped by during his rounds.

"Thank you, it's to test the students on navigating through terrain like this as well as working together to make it through. There are traps and monsters throughout so they have to work together to get out," Wuxian explained.

"I might just borrow this idea for other students," Zewu Jun said.

"By all means, go ahead," Wuxian said, "if these disciples can live in one place and learn in a classroom together, then working together through this maze should be no problem. I made sure nothing is too dangerous of course and Wen Ning is knowledgeable in medicine if necessary."

"I trust this will be fine," Zewu Jun said, "mind if I watch them for a bit?"

"Sure, they have yet to arrive. Once they finish their quiz, Lan Zhan will send them my way," Wuxian said, "once everyone is done with the quiz, Lan Zhan will be here to help me out."

"I figured he would be," Zewu Jun said, "you two can't be apart for long."

"Wait until you find someone and you will understand how hard it is to be away from someone you love so deeply," Wuxian told him.

"I hope to find someone like that," Zewu Jun said.

"I'm sure someone will come along...though she annoyed me, there is always Jiang Cheng's head disciple," Wuxian teased.

"I'd rather not her, she seems more his type than mine," Zewu Jun said.

"And what is your type?" Wuxian asked.

"I'd say anyone who is open minded and willing to be able to handle pressures of politicians," Zewu Jun replied.

"You will find someone I'm sure, in time," Wuxian said, "maybe Baoshan knows someone who might suite you."

"I will just let fate take its course," Zewu Jun said.

"Very well," Wuxian said as he decided to drop it for now. He then focused his attention back on the maze.
