Season 8
"I'll see you when you return." Izuku whispered, hugging F/n so close that there was barely any space in between them. But neither of them cared, as Izuku was going for a run that would last for a week. A lot could happen in a week and it would be the first that neither of them could see each other. Their longing would have to wait and while F/n was safe in the hands of Sorston, Izuku wouldn't have her protection. She didn't care that he could protect himself. She wanted to be the one to keep him safe. Though unfortunately, this time was different. "I'll be waiting."
Pulling back, Izuku glanced over to Katsuki and before the blonde could protest, he quickly wrapped his arms over his childhood friend, girngoing the blondes hands trying to shove him, "Please behave while I'm gone!"
"Alright, Deku!" Masking his concern, Katsuki glared at him. Those two months when Katsuki had thought Izuku was dead had suddenly popped into his mind. If given the choice, he would have accompanied his friend—his brother just to ease what little anxiety was desperately trying to escape. However, he had confidence in Izuku. When he returned, he would be fine. Just like always, "Get off now!"
"Okay, okay!" The freckle male released him with a smile. Ochaco, Mezo and Fumikage were getting the vehicle ready, but within seconds they were ready to leave and were holding up for Izuku. Fingers trembling, Izuku glanced at them, the bag that F/n had given him rested on his shoulders, "If Shoto happens to come by, tell him I said...that I'll see him. One of these days."
"Fine." Katsuki crossed his arms, rolling his eyes as Mezo honked, "Just go before Tall ass wakes everyone up."
Sparing a look, his chest felt heavy, "...Don't miss me too much, okay?"
"As if." Katuski scoffed, but then let out a gunt as F/n elbowed him. "We'll think of you."
FInally, did he leave and he watched out the back window as they waved at him until the gates closed. Beside him, Ochaco smiled, "Mina didn't let me go for about an hour. It feels good to have people care about you, huh?"
He hummed, the community getting smaller, "Yeah."
The shades of purple and pink disappeared and were replaced with clouded skies. The weather would have looked nice, especially with the leaves fluttering. Fumikage and Mezo were just coming back after they spotted a gas station just a few buildings ahead where they dropped Ochako and Izuku. The other two stayed at a discount store, figuring out how to open the doors without causing any noises as a few rotters were just behind them. They were both covered by a semi-truck that had its trunk open with a few boxes, most likely it was dropping off the store's supplies.
"So..." Ochaco eyed him briefly, "how's F/n?"
Izuku, who had his hands busy with his knife as he fiddled around the keyhole, jamming the tip of his knife to act like a lock pick smiled, "She's good. She's...different now, but a good different. She used to be quiet and cold, I guess, but now she's opened up. Being here helped her express herself more, but she doesn't think so."
