A/N: I am so worn out right now, I feel like I don't stfu about my exams but I just cannot wait for them to be over and for me to have a normal sleep schedule. I would love nothing more. Genuinely. ALSOOOO we need to talk about that clapback video today (well yesterday, I'm writing this the day she made the video). HOT DAMN! Charlotte really outdid herself with that video. Purely iconic. I love her so much. I've also been saying womp womp recently, so hearing Mia say it really topped my day off. Maybe refrain from reading if you don't like mentioning of bullying? I still suggest you read it, I included some important messages, I think lol.
Prompt: Georgia (9) has grown fonder of Mia as time has gone by. She decides to confide in the redhead about some bullying at school regarding her tomboy style. Mia also hears from Gia about some comments parent's are making about her and Char. Some of the comments drive Mia a little angry.
Georgia was getting to the age where she was staying up later than her younger sister, Lizzie. So as Mia settled into the family, she was trying to find a way to slot herself into the girl's nightly routines. Without being a nuisance to Char, although Char would never call her that, nor even think that Mia was. Mia still felt like a little bit of an outsider, Charlotte was obviously their bio-mother, and Lizzie was too young to grasp the concept of what was going on fully. Georgia and Mia had grown fonder of one another, finding out that they have quite a lot in common. Especially that Gia was currently trying to grow her own backbone, and is a lot more rebellious than her mother. I guess you could say that Gia was growing up to be a little 'badass'.
The current rotation was that Charlotte would put Lizzie to sleep earlier, and then have some time to unwind or relax, shower, the usual. Then Mia would spend time with Gia once she had finished her homework and schoolwork. Occasionally, Mia would help her.
A new thing Char had found out about Mia is that she is very brainy. It takes a lot of intelligence to be as ruthless and confrontational as Mia to begin with, but when it came to academics, she was far too qualified to be helping Georgie with homework. Yet day in day out, she showed up and helped Gia with her work, whatever it was. Thinking about it made Char's heart warm. Mia had absolutely no obligation to be so close with the girls, let alone be so good with Georgia as she approached her teen years, and she excelled the bar. She would always ask about the girls when she wasn't around. She would always buy them gifts. On top of all, she would do anything. Anything. To protect them.
And Charlotte was about to see it in the flesh.
Mia and Gia were sitting together on the sofa, watching Blue Planet. Because who doesn't love Blue Planet.
Gia was lying on Mia's shoulder, finding the courage to speak up about some of the antics that were troubling her at school. She was so encapsulated in her thoughts she didn't hear Mia trying to grab her attention.
"Georgie- Gia sweetheart?" Mia tapped her gently to try and bring her back to the present, out of her thoughts.
"Oh, sorry Mia." Gia's response was a little sheepish.
"Hey, hey darling, don't say sorry, it's okay. Is something on your mind?" Mia got straight to the point. Her and Gia had become accustomed to sharing things to the other, very easily. It was nice for the two of them to have someone to always talk to, no judgement.
"Ummm. Kinda?" Gia was now more afraid of how to go about the conversation at hand. It was going to be an awkward one to say the least, but she tried to shrug it off and go on.
"Go on baby, it's okay.." Mia was getting really worried, really quickly. What if something crazy was going on and she hadn't given Gia the time of day to talk about it? She turned the TV off.
"Wait.. no can we keep the TV on, it's less daunting if we have something on in the background, and I don't want mum to hear me say this."
"Oh, okay. Yeah sure. It'll be our little secret." As she popped the telly back on.
