A/N: Sorry again for going ghost, I promise I have good reasons. To make up for it, here is a really buff chapter. In relation to today's chapter, I've actually visited Sun Siyam's resorts a few years ago, if you haven't visited Asia and are debating where to go. They have some amazing choices available, trust me!
= The lovers head to Asia for their honeymoon. Mia had already explored half the continent alone, missing her baby, might as well continue her streak with the love of her life by her side!
Charlotte was slightly afraid of long flights, so going to the likes of Italy and France were no issue for her, but the initial mention of going to The Maldives had freaked the poor lady out so much that Mia almost changed the destination.
Almost, considering the redhead had paid a heinous amount for a presidential-level suite, and didn't really feel like letting it go, and in true Mia fashion being used to getting her way with her princess, she had convinced Charlotte that all would be okay. She wasn't fibbing. It would be in the comfort and privacy of business class, all the way to the international airport where the lovers would take a snazzy seaplane to their resort.
Charlotte was none the wiser about the entire honeymoon schedule, especially not the intricate details Mia had included for the lovers to share. All she really knew was that they were travelling to their first destination and then the pair were heading to Sri Lanka for the second week.
Char, once upon a time, when her and Mia first started dating, had a Pinterest board with the places she had wished to visit, of course Mia was going to fulfill those dreams one by one, starting with these two.
Mia had left Charlotte in charge of the wedding planning, and this meant she was left with plenty of time for her to plan their getaway meticulously. Mia didn't really get involved much with the wedding process, she wanted Char to have her fairytale wedding she once dreamed of, as well as the fact she trusted her gorgeous wife's judgement far better than her own, after all, happy wife, happy life was her motto.
It was quite overjoying to have some proper alone time, secure in knowing that no parents from work might spring out of somewhere to give them the fright of a lifetime, or in Mia's case, no worries about bumping into an infatuated ex courtesy of Roger. The pair hadn't told anyone where they were going exactly, and as for Charlotte's girls, the both of them knew they were in the safest hands possible, and for once could happily have no guilt about not being with them. Spending a week with Aunty Marjorie and their newly found Uncle Reece was good enough, to then spend a week with Grandma and Grandpa was just the icing on the cake.
Little Lizzie had mastered the craft of getting more than what she wanted when it came to Grandma. Grandpa was a little more in-tune with the sly manipulation to get all the new barbies, as he had experience with a very young Charlotte doing the exact same. Mia often thought back to a conversation she had with Lizzie and Georgia, telling the two of them that their Mummy knew exactly how to get what she wanted from Mia. There were obviously details she had to omit for the innocent ears, it was better for absolutely no-one to know those tactics that Charlotte knew made Mia weak. Nonetheless, the interaction was one of Mia's favourites to tell her old friends, the redhead was very excited to see some of them after the wedding, it was like she got to show Charlotte off as hers again, this time, even better, as her wife.
They both needed this more than they knew, to really spend some quality time together with no distractions. As much as it was a little embarrassing to admit at their grown ages, they spent several nights sleeping on the phone together in the weeks leading up to the wedding because they couldn't pause their equally busy schedules to be with one another physically, but needed each other's presence to simply function the following day. In their defence, many nights had ended up like the one where Mia was stuck in traffic, so it was hard to gauge whether or not the two were thinking negatively about being apart or not.
