= A continuation of the last chapter. Marjorie, Mia and Char figure out a solution for the little baby boy.
Mia glared back at Marjorie,
"I would say I don't know what Reecey sees in you, but I'm actually trying to be better for my Charlotte, so I'm not going to."
"Funny Mia, because you just bloody said it."
"Well I could have delivered that line a lot worse, and stop grinding at my fucking gears, I am trying for Charlotte but my patience can run thin. Careful."
Marjorie actually felt a little bad, "Okay, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that, but he is a very sweet baby and has taken a great liking to you in a short time."
"It's fine, and I didn't expect it either, I have always liked babies actually, whenever I worked in the baby room at Reece's nursery I had so much to write about them, they were so sweet."
Charlotte was now finding her way back but had heard Mia's voice soften in tone as she talked. She decided to just hang around outside the door instead of going in just yet.
Marjorie seemed taken aback by Mia's comment. "Any reason you liked working with the babies most?"
"Well~ when I grew up it was just my mother and I once my father left. I had always longed for siblings, so whenever the situation came to seeing babies at family events, I think I just adored hanging with them, rather than being with the adults. I don't want to overstep but I know you're an only child, Marjorie, so I'm sure you get it to an extent..."
"I mean yeah, yeah Mia I can understand that, didn't know or at least think that you and I had that common ground, growing up was really lonely actually, did you feel like that?" Marjorie's complexion was a little flushed, she didn't expect Mia to be so vulnerable with her about that odd-to-explain feeling.
Meanwhile, Charlotte was still outside, and had gotten a little emotional, she had never had this kind of conversation with Marjorie before and the pair had been friends for over 10 years! For Mia to get her to open up so quickly was just a miracle.
"Yeah, it is lonely isn't it? I think that's a reason why I want to have multiple children. I never want my child to feel how I did growing up, constantly having to entertain yourself adds to the weird quirks we now have as adults." Mia laughed a little as she delivered the end of her sentence.
Marjorie gasped, gaining a reaction from the redhead and little Charlotte who was hiding behind the door. "Mia, you want to have a child? I mean- I mean children?!!??"
Her shock was clear. "Multiple? Children?"
"Marjorie chill, yes, and?"
"You'd want to have them with Charlotte right?"
Mia shot her a glare. "Who else would I be willing to have a baby with? Don't be stupid, Marjorie."
Marjorie held up her hands in surrender. "Sorry, sorry. Just making sure."
"Does Charlotte know this?"
"Well... I dunno?" Mia shrugged. "Two are a handful, I don't think she'd want any more to be honest." "But if I did have a baby with her, and it was her choice, I wouldn't have to worry about siblings because that baby would already have Gia and Liz. I like tha-"
Charlotte waltzed through the door, trying to keep a poker face, Mia stopping her little ramble.
Char smiled, "What about Gia and Lizzie? Hm?"
Mia had her jaw open wide, she could feel herself turning a little pink, did Char hear her conversation with Marjorie?
"How long were you by the door sweetheart..?"
