= Charlotte and Marjorie have a day off after aeons. Mia and Reece have an idea for them.

Mia woke up early, her mind already buzzing with plans for the day. She grabbed her phone and dialled Reece's number, knowing he'd be up, too. The line rang a few times before his groggy voice answered.

"Good morning. Everything alright?" Reece mumbled, clearly still half-asleep.

"Morning, Reecey! Fancy hitting the gym today?" Mia asked, trying to keep her tone light and cheerful.

Reece yawned. "I'll have to ask Marjorie what her plans are. If she wants to have a cuddle-in, I might have to decline, sorry."

Mia sighed dramatically. "Please, Reece, I really need your help. I need to straighten some things out for the proposal, and I can't do that with Charlotte around. Lying to her just feels so wrong."

Reece chuckled softly. "Part of the shtick, Mia. You know that. It's all part and parcel of proposing, you'll have to lie a little. Don't overthink it, you'll have plenty of time to explain yourself in the aftermath anyway."

"I wish it wasn't part of the 'shtick'. This time I really need your advice, I just need someone to run it all through with. I feel like I've made so many mistakes and I can't fuck this one thing up." Mia insisted.

Reece paused for a moment, then suggested, "Why don't we set up a day out for our ladies? Marjorie and Charlotte can spend some time together while we walk around, we can hit the gym towards the end so you aren't completely lying to Charlotte, I need to work out but not too much today, so we can talk for sure."

Mia's eyes lit up. "That's a great idea, Reecey! It could bring them even closer, and there won't be any suspicions. I like that. Good thinking!"

Reece continued, "Maybe we could pay for them to get glammed up for the day. Spa kind of day maybe? No particular reason, but it would be nice."

Mia laughed. "Exactly what I was thinking! And it's perfect because Char won't suspect anything. She'll think it's just another lovely day out."

"Right," Reece agreed. "When you finally grow a pair and pop the question, she won't see it coming. This way, she won't think anything of it when you suggest glamming up closer to the proposal date."

Mia chuckled, reminiscing. "Reecey, this might just top the one time you made me that souffle. Shit, I might even say those three special words."

Reece laughed. "Save it, Mia. Stop messing around. Send me the details of the spa and salon they'll go to."

"I wasn't messing around, Reece. Thank you for the help. You really are the best. I'll send you the details as soon as I can. Have to wake my princess up first though, wish me luck."

"Hah, good luck with that. I would never dare wake Marj up, you're playing with fire if you do that."

Mia hung up, smiling. She wandered around and padded her way to the kitchen, boiling the kettle so she could make her sweet a jug of coffee, you know, as an apology for waking her love up early. As the rich aroma filled the air, she returned to the bedroom and gently shook Charlotte's shoulder.

"Morning sweetheart, wake up, my love," Mia whispered, brushing a strand of hair from Charlotte's face.

Charlotte groaned, burying her face deeper into the pillow. "Mmm twenty more minutes," she mumbled.

"Nuh uh Char, get up, please. I miss my girlfriend and I want to have breakfast with her." Mia joked around a little, poking at Charlotte as she was wrapped up in the duvet.
