A/N: I think today's chapter name might foreshadow something... can you tell? I have the family dog all to myself this week. He is staying at mine. He is such a good boy. I might make a close friends story just to post him.

= A continuation of the last chapter. The two lovers take a trip to a big Tesco, so they basically go on a date.

"Good morning sweetheart," Mia joked to her lover, who was stirring awake, rubbing her eyes. The authorities are here, let's say goodbye.

"H- how long were you awake?" "You look gorgeous." Was all Charlotte could manage to think about, still blinking her eyes frantically, adjusting her view to the lights being on.

"Couldn't really sleep much after what you said to me last night..."

Charlotte giggled, followed on by an embarrassing snort, well, not uncomfortable in front of Mia, but had it been anyone else, it would have been a different story!

"I mean, can you blame me sweetheart? You know how much your words affect me."

Charlotte got up, swiftly. Before giving Mia a soft kiss, so soft, Mia could feel her lips gently bounce as they made contact with her skin.

Mia blushed, her cheeks turning a delicate shade. "Char... not again. Please." she began, flustered by Charlotte's attitude yet again.

Charlotte grinned innocently, though her eyes twinkled with mischief. "What? I don't think my words affect you as much as you let on... You could always show me how much they affect you Mia."

Mia shook her head, trying to hide her smile. "You're impossible."

"Impossibly in love with you," Charlotte quipped, giving Mia another quick kiss before turning her attention to the baby, who was babbling happily in the ball pit.

"Let's go say goodbye, give him to the authorities." Mia said, her voice softening as she looked at the little one.

They made their way to the entrance, where the authorities were waiting. Mia gently lifted the baby from his car seat, holding him close as she cooed softly, "Say bye bye to Auntie Marjorie and Uncle Reece too, bubby!"

The baby gurgled and babbled in response, his tiny fists waving in the air. Mia kissed his forehead gently, bobbing him up and down. Charlotte reached out to play with his little locs, smiling as the baby's eyes twinkled with joy.

"He's going to be just fine," Mia said, her voice trembling slightly as she handed the baby over to the authorities. The redhead spoke as if she was trying to convince herself that he would be ok.

"Please call me if you need anything. If there is anything that needs to be done, just call me as soon as you can. I'll be there as soon as I can. I don't care what time it is, just ring me. I will be there. For anything. I promise."

The authority figure nodded, taking down Mia's number. "We'll keep you informed, Ms. Roberts. Thank you all for your help, and patience. Get home safely."

Mia watched as the baby was carried away, her heart aching with a fierce protectiveness. She would do anything to make sure he was safe, even though she barely knew him.

Reece and Marjorie stood by, watching the emotional exchange. "You two did great," Reece said, giving Mia a gentle pat on the back and Charlotte a reassuring smile.

"Thank you," Mia replied, her voice soft. She turned to Charlotte, who was yawning visibly.

"Sweetheart, it's getting late, but I need to buy some stuff for the house, I know that Tesco down the road is open still. Do you mind coming with me?"
