= Siobhan has a 'meeting' with a parent. She also has an interesting reaction to the couples' engagement.
Siobhan Serpent was not a woman who was easy to read. She was complex, and confusing to the naked eye. At one glance she was very well put together. Very classy, elegant, the lot. She wasn't dripped out in your usual 'common' designers, but you could certainly tell she was an expensive lady by the way she dressed. When you conversed with her, she was cold and cruel. She kept to herself, and it was best you didn't bother her.
She was a serpent after all.
Yet, when she dared to be perceived by an intelligent gaze, her façade fell through. Those to figure it out initially, were both, to no surprise, women.
One being our favourite manager, Marjorie Van Gould.
The other? Someone new to the area, who was just dropping her child off at the nursery and happened to see right through her little glass cage.
Siobhan, after a few encounters, and a meeting, would find that this woman was named Vivian. Hm. A lovely name to say the least.
Vivian was not too dissimilar to Siobhan at face value. Strongly opinionated and knew how to hold a grudge.
And as for Vivian's opinion on Siobhan, it wasn't until Mia had approached her and invited her to the Knight's Halloween Ball, that she could see the severity of the situation at hand.
This quite short-tempered, young lady, had told Vivian everything she needed to know about Mr. Persistent by not saying much at all.
Sure, the redhead seemed like trouble, but something told Vivian she wasn't the only one who despised Mr. Possessive. Although she didn't know it, she was always right to doubt him.
The dire circumstances her new friend was facing.
Mia was also aware of Siobhan's past with Charlotte. When Siobhan had covered over at the Knight Nursery at the start of the year, she and Charlotte had many disagreements. Whether it was over 'unsavoury thoughts' or basic human decency. Siobhan was constantly a bitch to everyone she met. Everyone she dealt with.
To Charlotte, these meetings frustrated her. How was it possible for someone to be so dark and cataclysmic? Constantly so hateful and selfish?
To Sorscha, she was homophobic scum. Someone who couldn't accept that love knew no bounds. Someone so narrow minded that anything beyond man and woman was... Unnatural. Disgusting. Hellish. A woman that believed that it was now becoming some sort of 'woke' trend.
To Autumn, she was in it for the long run, she couldn't tell what Siobhan saw in her father. After all the torment he gave her and her brother, she couldn't see him as a man capable of being in a relationship. In some ways, she even felt envious of it. How could he love a woman her age? But not show her any love as her father?
To the parents, she was the sneaky bitch who slept her way to the top. A promiscuous woman. To some of the fathers at the nursery, she was just your average slut. A gold-digger who saw nothing but money. To get with a man so much older than her, she had to be, right?
What none of them knew, is what her mirror saw.
Every. Single. Night.
To her mirror, she was brittle. She was bare. She had hurt and anger engraved into her skin. Not by her own actions, but by the man she slept beside at night.
