A/N: Writing this was lovely. Had me a little emotional... I adore Mia and Reece's relationship.
= Our favourite redhead and blonde workout together. Not without their witty banter though.
The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a soft golden glow over the city centre as Mia and Reece stepped into the new gym. The sleek, modern design of the gym was complemented by warm, welcoming touches that immediately put them at ease. As they walked through the entrance, they noticed the little starlights around the mirrors, twinkling softly.
Reece's eyes lit up as he took in the sight. "You know, I really like these starlights. They give the place a nice vibe."
Mia smirked, nudging him playfully. "When do you not like anything astronomy related sweetheart?"
Reece was about to be offended till he chuckled, shaking his head. "Actua- you know what? Fair point."
They headed to the lockers to drop off their bags before making their way to the weights area. Reece turned to Mia, a curious expression on his face. "So, what's the rush to start at the gym again? I have been running if I'm being honest, I paid for this membership and I do come sometimes but not so much now. Running has been a lot easier to maintain. I mean I don't really know why I'm explaining that since you already know, since Char and I talked about it loads during our therapy sessions way back when..."
Mia paused, looking at him with a confused tilt of her head. "No, love, you know she's never told me and never will, if you have those sessions again, in the future? What goes on between you two is private, unless you want me to know? That's how these things work..."
Reece blinked, a bit embarrassed. "Oh, I didn't know that was standard... But you've told her about our relationship so I just expected her to tell you things she's found out about me?"
Mia smiled, finding the blonde's confusion kind of funny. He was a very intelligent man, but things to do with emotions were not his strong suit, at all. "
"Yes Reecey. I've told her things about our relationship because they were funny and/ or the fact that I know she isn't going to tell anyone but Marjorie, who knows all of the bullshit you and I have done or caused together. That isn't related to your emotional wellbeing or mental health."
He still looked a little baffled at this epiphany.
"Just think about it this way. Your emotions and things you do to cope with them, aren't my business to comment on unless you tell me directly. When you mention those things in 'therapy' with my Charlotte, it's something to discuss between the two of you only. I do not have any right to know about it, however 'unofficial' the sessions are. I don't ask and even if I did, she wouldn't tell me."
Mia's smile grew even more, softly, placing a reassuring hand on his arm. "It's part of therapy, Reece. Confidentiality and all that. She's got your back, just like you've got hers."
Reece nodded, processing her words. His expression turned a bit more serious as he discreetly tried to probe further. "So, um, I just wanted to ask... this sudden gym thing resurgence... it's not, uh, our old restrictive habits prodding at you, is it?"
Mia's eyes softened with understanding. "No, Reece, it's nothing like that. I just want to keep my body in shape to be fit. In fact, being with Char has meant I'm eating even more than before because I feel so secure about my image around her and her girls. It's a miracle, really."
Reece let out a sigh of relief, but Mia wasn't done. "I mean, I also want my body to be a little more toned for the sex after she becomes my wif-." "J- Just to be more agile during sex I mean. I need to impress, don't I?"
